Earth to Arafat: Everyone is sick of your meaningless dog and pony photo ops. Your jig is up. No one believes anything you have to say anymore. Please spare us the sight of your ugly mug and checkered tablecloth!

x42 practically had Arafat living with him during his terms. Arafat had his chance, he's a relic now, and Bush is correct in sending in his "seconds" while running a war on terrorism.

Until now the strategy for the Israel- Palestine front of this war has been put pressure on Sharon. But now it seems to have changed. Indeed Condaleezza Rice said today that we can't, " go after AlQaeda while we hug Hezbollah". Very curious. Especially since the Saudis were just demanding that we solve the Palestinian Israel issue.

I wonder what happened?

I'm glad to see it though. Bush has put together some great guiding principles 1. "We will make no distinction between the terrorists and those who harbor them" and 2. "either you're with us or against us"

If he sticks to them with all his actions I think we will have a better chance of prevailing than by making temporary self serving alliances that we will have to backtrack on later, and looking the other way at Palestinian (and other) terrorists.

"Powell to meet Arafat; Palestinian Authority slams Bush refusal to do the same"

It's like this, guys: George W. Bush is the President of the most powerful nation on earth; Yessir Arabfat is just another rag-headed murdering terrorist.
Does that clarify things a little for you?

"He said that he supported the establishment of a Palestinian state, with an agreement between Israel and the Palestinians based upon the land-for-peace motto."

Land for peace.....land for peace.....is that anything like "peace in our time"?

Bush will meet with Arafat when Arafat proves himself a leader. Right now, he's a visable failure at controling the fanatic factions. Once again, the Palestinian people are forced to pay for the failure of their leaders. They would have their own state following a cessation of violence. If Arafat would step up to the plate and do what a leader is supposed to do, his people would have their state.

Why should Bush meet with someone who is so obviously incapable of leading?
