It's interesting that they are not mentioning the first case in Florida. As pointed out by another astute observer above, the link between Atta and the wife of the victim was not known before hand.

There seems to be this rush to judgment - it must be a right wing nut who did this. There was a report in the paper today from abortion rights folks claiming they get anthrax threats all the time. Can the FBI be this dumb?

Stupid question, I guess.

I think the anthrax sender is linked to the terrorists, but he may be an American citizen - an enabler of the Atta organization.

I think thats what were dealing with as well, someone linked to the terrorists, but someone that has been in the country for a period of time. People tend to forget that Atta and Co. had been in the US in some cases for up to 5 years.

This casting about for a "right wing" group may actually be hurting this investigation more than anything. I believe that a news agency in pakistan had received Anthrax as well. Why someone from a "right wing" group would send it to Pakistan I dont understand, but apparently the powers that be still think that its an actual possiblity.

Hey I know, maybe Richard Jewell did it.
