Good for her. Since her Dad is an icon among the "fashionable" Left in England, Chelsea puts them in a very awkward position by committing this act. It was a brave and decent thing to do.
Yeah, perhaps the WTC bombing was Chelsea's "Road to Damascus." Who can know, but time will tell.
