Clik, not to be contrary, but Schundler should consider a new line of work. Although it's true that he was conspired against by liberal Republicans, his campaign and debate performances were factors as well. Better to try someone else next time, and let Schundler persue more productive interests. Bob Franks was not my favorite choice either, but being pragmatic, I would have much preferred him to "McGeedy." I'm as conservative as they come, but I will take a moderate Republican over a Democrat any day. And we have to remember where we are; New Jersey is not a hotbed of conservatism. The Virginia race is more puzzling, but I never expected Schundler to win his race.....

Warner ran as a conservative republican. to the right of the GOP in all the issues....and maybe enough folks in Va thought that sen warner was running for Governor, that they voted for "him"
