But you don't condemn them for using your money to elevate the gays to a special protected class? The two are equitable. And for a good example of both being united: one name -Maplethorpe. Yes, you are an apologist. You flame anyone who opposes the gay agenda. And when someone insinuates that you are gay, you don't like it. Yet you do just that yourself. Like I said, got the idea from you.
Now, with art in general, I have nothing agaisnt actual art. But art for offensiveness sake is not by definition, art. I prefer Monet, Degas, Titian, Da Vinci, and various others. That is art. A celebration of shape and color. Look at the supposed 'art' of the subject line and then tell me what form, shape, or definition it has? None. I agree with you about the NEA. I disagree with you on other things. But I do not see why you have no problem with your money being used to make a special protected class with rights beyond those already given. Explain.

I disagree with you on other things. But I do not see why you have no problem with your money being used to make a special protected class with rights beyond those already given. Explain. Apparently you have also missed my repeated condemnation of ANY legislation which subjugates the legitimate right of free association, to the false "rights" asserted in various civil rights and affirmative action legislation.
People have the legitimate right to choose their own associations freely. That means that they may discriminate against anyone they want, for any reason they want. If people wish to form a club which excludes homosexuals (or anyone else) such as the Boy Scouts for example.... That is their right.
If people wish to have a business which refuses to sell to homosexuals (or anyone else for that matter)... That is their right. The business belongs to them, not state, and not the majority.
If people wish to publish information indicating that homosexuality is sinful, that is their right.
One of the biggest problems with "the homosexual agenda" has to do with the existence of socialist public schools. Eliminate public schools, and the problem goes away. Let every parent choose the education they wish for their children, and let them pay for it themselves, rather than have their money stolen by the state, and there would no longer be a problem on that front either.
The only objection I have raised with respect to this issue at all, regards the behavior on consenting adults. Consenting adults have the right to engage in any private sexual behavior they choose. It is not a matter for state to determine.
If you cannot comprehend the possibility that someone might defend the notion of rights (even unpopular ones) without suggesting that the individual is a homosexual, I'd suggest that this indicates a pretty limited worldview.

If you cannot comprehend the possibility that someone might defend the notion of rights (even unpopular ones) without suggesting that the individual is a homosexual, I'd suggest that this indicates a pretty limited worldviewBut defending rights that do not exist, and creating rights in excess or over and above the rights that all Americans have just to salve your guilty conscience or create a special class is just plain wrong. "Everyone is equal, just some are more equal than others". This shuld never be the case. And the one with the limited world view is you. Personally, I have no problem with gays. But when they try to push their agenda and ideas off onto others or try to promote the lies thay hold dear, then I have a problem. The gays say that "all men are gay and just won't admit it." Don't bother defending them, they have said that.
There are no special rights for them. If there were, then there should be special rights for: necrophiles, pedophiles, zoophiles, the insane, the bipolar, murderers, rapists, drug dealers, polygamists, bigamists, terrorists, taxi cab drivers, welfare recipients, prostitutes, Peter Jennings, Hillary, Maplethorpe, and the NEA. That is a slippery slope your are trying to parse. Think. Once you elevate one to a special protected class, you need to create other special protected classes so as not to appear to be pandering to one group or the other. They are trying to give rights to one group in exclusion to others. This country did that and paid for it. It was called Slavery and the Civil War. Try to think out of the box *ahem* and expand your own view. Would you really like your tax dollars going towards protecting some special interest group and giving them rights that you would not have?

Would you really like your tax dollars going towards protecting some special interest group and giving them rights that you would not have? Unless, of course, OWK is gay. Thus, I object, as your line of inquiry assumes facts not in evidence.

I think I've made it pretty clear that I would not.
I have stated that I object to the state dictating the private sexual behavior of consenting adults in their own bedrooms.
That's all.
Nothing else.
You seem to be arguing with something I have not said. (which is certainly not unusual in these threads)

Then why defend the gay agenda? If you would not like your money going towards such lunacy, why defend it? It is effectively the same whether it is the NEA or Rainbow.

Have any of these museums displayed a "Piss Moses" or "Piss Mohammad"? Of course not. This is anti-Christian bigotry masquerading as artistic expression.

The people who assemble such objects, and those who promote them, are clearly in need of chemical therapy to treat their obvious brain disfunctions.

While they didn't apologize or acknowledge any "wrong doing", I believe the BMA announced yesterday that they would not restock the postcards once the current supply is gone.
To: workerbee
I just called to register my disgust.
I was told the postcards are no longer in the gift shop.

Then why defend the gay agenda? I haven't.
I have defended the right of consenting adult individuals to engage in the private sexual behavior of their choice.
There is a difference.

You seem to be fixated on gays, since that is not the subject of this thread.
Since you are completely ignoring OWK's points, you are arguing with yourself. Does it bother you so much to agree with him, that you must pick a fight?
