And sooooo me! LOL
I sure do!
The women can stop being terrified.
And 'Louie' can get some rest. LOL
I'm sort of running out of different ideas for the menu. Think I'll do the beef and noodles thing at noon today,, a nice green salad and homemade bread. Apple cobbler for dessert. I'll start serving at 11:30 am.
Maybe now I can just be my 'real' self.
I was getting very confused trying to keep up with 'Lt. Louie' and 'The Wolf'. LOL
Thanks.
I was watching Larry King is Alive after the President's speech and he had Chris Matthews and Bob Schiffer on and they were discussing VP Cheney. Evidently, the VP took a couple of days off last week to go hunting. So LK was asking the boys if this was okay, for him to take the time off and go hunting. Well, Mr. Schiffer said, and I am paraphrasing but you will get the drift "I don't have a problem with that, when the pheasant are running or whatever they do I suppose you have to hunt them". Can you imagine anyone being that stupid. Guess he just wanted to convey that he is not a hunter so has no idea what that culture is like. Grr.....
But now that we have discussed pheasants, did your hunters bring home enough so that you can prepare some for the canteen?
Gosh, Granny, I can't. I'm going to be busy for awhile.
If you go out-be very very careful. Don't want anything happening to one of my favorite people.

Sounds great!
But don't bother....take a day off.
I'll have today's meals catered. How's that? : )
ROFL,,, this Schiffer fella is quite a sportsman,,,,, imagine the skill needed to shoot a running pheasant???? Pheasants can't run very fast,, their legs are short. Since I don't hunt myself, I'm not certain, but I would think my resident hunters would consider it unethical to shoot a pheasant that wasn't flying.
We had a miserable winter last year, with deep snow cover that arrived early and stayed late. Many pheasant didn't make it thru the winter,, then we had a nasty, cold, wet May,,, the spring hatch was very small. We aren't seeing nearly as many birds as we have in past years. 5 years ago, in the fall when I would take meals to the field when they were harvesting, I would literally have to slow down for the pheasants crossing the road. Not any more,,, they are few and far between.
The canteen will have to eat Turkey rather than pheasant this year.
LOL! This is the 'Louie' that I know - and who could be afraid of him? :-)
Sweet and lovable and just a little "lost".

You're very wise, 'fuzzy'.
I'm not a 'Saint'.
I'm not a 'Wolf'.
I'm going back to who I really am.....
'Louiebear'.
Thank you for this. : )
You're welcome. It was my pleasure to bring you back to your senses.
Since this is yesterday's thread, most people won't get to see the real Louie, but I know who he is.

And that's all that matters. : )
