LAUREN BUSH, niece of the US President, as she appears on the front cover of the 2002 Pirelli calendar, beloved by garage mechanics and other fans of the female form the world over.
Miss Bush was announced yesterday as the face of next years calendar, which will feature fully clothed models for the first time since it was launched in 1964 with an iconic shot of a naked thigh extending from beneath a skimpy bathrobe. Miss Bush was booked to be Miss January, but after the attacks on September 11 Pirelli decided to make her the cover girl as a gesture of support from the Italian tyre company to America. In the calendar she is swathed from neck to foot in a large grey Armani coat and long black dress. Other pin-ups including Mena Suvari, the actress who starred in American Beauty, are similarly decorously dressed. At the calendars launch in London, Miss Bush, who is 17 and still attends high school in Denver, said that before she went ahead with the project she got the approval of her family and discussed it with her grandfather, George Bush Sr. I spoke to my grandparents and they were very pleased. They were even more pleased when I told them it was fully clothed, she said. It is the most high-profile role for Miss Bush, daughter of the Presidents brother Neil, since she became the model for the fashion label Tommy Hilfiger this summer. Pirelli said: Some of the guys are very disappointed, but everyone is getting a bit fed up with seeing barely clothed women in the all the magazines.

Wasn't that Britney Spears?
I shudder to think of the conspiracy threads it'd lead to on FR!
Forgive me. I just couldn't help myself.
Stand up tall for America. The Ridgid Tool Calendar - that's the big time.
;^)
ooops...say no more. They'll be looking at possible matches from Beijing to Medina to London.
LOL! I'm sure her parents are very happy ... she looks "All-American". Fresh.
Priceless!!
