What really happened to William Cooper.
Alex Jones Info Wars ^ | 11/8/01 | TaZ

Posted on 11/07/2001 10:37:51 PM PST by TaZ

William Cooper, decorated Vietnam Veteran, Patriot Broadcaster and Father apparently went "over-the edge" over the past couple of years. At first, I was speculative regarding the initial press releases issued by the Apache County Sheriff's Office. We have seen the evil NWO media dog's spin before regarding the Ruby Ridge and the Waco Texas massacres, which were inititiated under the color of law.

But, from the lips of one of Mr. Cooper's friends, as well as Alex Jones, Mr. Cooper had underwent some troubling changes over the past couple of years. Alex Jones theorized that Mr. Cooper had fought the evil forces of the NWO for too long, and became embittered and morose concerning the future of America. Of course Alex Jones, true to his rebellious and billigerent nature, discounted even the damning testimony brought forth by Mr. Cooper's friend, who also personally knows the Doctor that the frothing Cooper chased off of "his" mountain (actually it is a mesa that Cooper doesn't own, he owns only two lots on it, and has threatened at gun point anyone who attempts to enter the public lands). The Doctor is a local man who grew up in Eagar, and returned to establish a practice following medical school. Cooper was so enraged at the Doctor trespassing "on his mountain" that he walked down off from the mesa and put a gun in the doctor's face when he answered the door, saying "If you ever come up on my mountain again, I'll kill you."

Well, the Sheriff's office had no choice but to respond to the Doctor's filing of aggravated assault charges and device a plan to take Cooper alive. Cooper it seems, had made it known to all that he would never be taken alive. It seems that the Apache Sheriff's officers actually liked Cooper, and had kept the Feds at bay who had issued a warrant for his arrest over three years ago, saying that they wouldn't allow Cooper to be made into a Martyr as was his fatal wish.

Alex Jones interview of William Cooper's friend.

It appears that although William Cooper had fought the good fight over the years concerning our out-of-control government, in the end he was just another nut who misused his Right to bear Arms to threaten and hurt other law abiding Americans.

Knock it off!

You've taken over MY thread! This is MY property so ya better watch out!

Just joking, but all kidding aside, I am glad to see some interesting discussions and opinions. But, short of hard evidence I would say that Glenn Jacobs account of the "What really happened to William Cooper" sounded the most sincere and clear-cut. People who would like to defame him without out factual material information (e.g. Glenn Judas Jacobs) are just as cruel as the NWO spin-doctors that lie about what has really happened to our Democratic Republic.

If I had a neighbor like Cooper, I would be afraid for the safety of my family and friends. Besides the nasty disposition of Cooper, he also appeared to have a Death Wish. This makes him a dangerous person indeed.

Short of shooting his wooden leg off by .375 H&H Mag Sniper, I can't find fault with the Apache County Sheriff's office attempt to take him peacefully, away from his fortress of solitude. By the way, the information I have is that Cooper shot the Deputy at point blank range when he jumped in Cooper's car in an attempt to subdue him. Bad decision on the part of the Deputy, he underestimated the desperation of Cooper, who claimed (over-active imagination IMHO) that he had been stalked by every alphabet agency in the book. He even fantasized that he had his own personal team of militia sentries (See Attack if the Teenage Mutant Owls).

JFYI, I work within the Federal and State Court System as a reporter, formerly a Mfg./Quality Engineer that worked in the DOD Mil. Contracting Environs.

I am here to tell you that if a US Marshall was ordered by a sitting judge to enforce a warrant, Cooper would have been in jail dead or alive in short order. These LEOs, are some of the most decent and hard working Americans I have encountered. Many of them are staunch Constitutional Patriots. But, given the current Liberal Democratic slant of our Country, these LEOs have no hope that Laws will change the reality in America without the American people themselves rebelling against the Politically Insane Parties that control US politics, demanding Constitutional Patriots for elected office and making it so. As LEOs, many of them joined to make a difference in our Country, but must enforce that Law as it is required of them or face prosecution themselves.

The NWO has not infiltrated any local LEOs that I have encountered. I believe the NWO would be more interested in creating the Laws the LEOs are sworn to enforce. This means it comes from the TOP elected officials that create, modify and enforce laws. That means that the American people are getting exactly what they want. Until they are educated and repent from their degenerate ways, the US Sheeple will continue to elect enemies of the Common Law Constitution of the USA. Thus short of God's intervention, we are doomed.

Good luck & God Bless.

Baiting him is probably not a wise thing to be doing, when it is clear that we want the flame war stopped.

Please knock it off.

I find your post 28 very perceptive and perhaps the most accurate assessment of a man that I will miss very much although I never met him in person.

At what point would you feel that government was too aggressive with its own citizens?

The second it violates their rights. Presenting a warrant for arrest is not violating any rights.

Or we can agree that government is way too big and spend our efforts to drastically reduce its size and influence immediately(except for the military).

The gov IS too big, but reducing it will not change the fact that there will always be a small amount of mistakes and corruption in law enforcement. That does not mean that we are to assume that all feds and cops are bad.

"but reducing it will not change the fact that there will always be a small amount of mistakes and corruption in law enforcement."

Really?

Would it reduce the the number of incidents? And the cost to my family? Aren't you growing tired of supporting all these bloated agencies? They have failed. What have they been doing with all the money. We can't even trust the charities anymore so how in the hell can we trust government? Don't get me wrong though, I wanna see a lot of dead terrorists, that is tax money worth the expense, and some.

Plus the fact, it is not just law enforcement. Its the whole system. It is getting so big that the system itself is on the verge of spinning out of control. And it does not have to happen.

We obviously need to have well trained, local and community involved law enforcement. But the Law enforcement gaffes are just salt in the wound.

The vast majority of police are good people. It is the sytem that sucks. And they live off it. That is the frustrating part.

Enough already!

Why can't people see the actions of Mr. Cooper for what seems obvious (after hearing the accounts from neighbors), without making other illogical inferences.

1)He lost it and started brandishing a weapon in town.
2)This forced local law enforcement to do what they had long-avoided doing for the Feds...bring him into custody.
3)Cooper, allowing his justifiable suspicion of our Federal government to overtake his long history of law-abiding conduct, misjudged the situation and wrongfully injured an innocent man and got himself killed.

This DOES NOT NULLIFY all the good work that Cooper did in the Patriot movement, on the 16th Amendment, or as a volunteer in our Air Force and Navy!

So now that he's dead why don't you all stop twisting the knife in the poor soldier's back?
