The Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem is an act of hate and of hate speech by Muslims against Jews and Christians. Neither the US nor Britain would ever allow such an object to be created, nor such a collection of slander to be publicly displayed.
Remember, every bit of that oh-so-pretty Arabic arabesque script on this little shrine dating from AD 691, is a slander-in-stone, posing as a sermon-in-stone, against Christianity which had ruled Jerusalem for centuries under Byzantium prior to the Islamic takeover in the AD 638-40 era. "God has no Son. It is Blasphemy to Say He has Taken a Son." would be the least of what is written there. This Dome is not a mosque, and it is an artifact of pure hatred against Christianity.
It also is an artifact of pure hatred against Judaism, for it occupies and stands upon the holy precincts of the Temples of Solomon and of Herod (first and second Temples)...a dog in the manger as it were, which neither itself worships, nor allows the Jews to worship, God as He ought to be. This building is preventing the Jews from re-establishing the Temple and its sacrifices for the good of all mankind and the peace of the world.
As I understand it, the Dome itself stands over the area reserved solely for Jewish men (court of Israel) in the time of Jesus, including the area of the altar of sacrifice and the "holy" (as opposed to Most Holy) place of the Temple (Bet ha Mikdosh) itself. I believe that the place of the Ark of the Covenant in the Most Holy, however, stands on the western steps leading up to the octagonal Dome structure...
Called by Daniel the "Abomination of Desolation" (loathsome thing), this structure was stated in Dan. 11 and 12 to stand until the indignation (wrath) of God against Israel for its sins was over, but that was to end in 1290 or 1335 years from the construction of same in 691. Thus, its fall is up in 1981 or in 2026, and I think the 1981 date referred to the finding of the Ark in that year...
Since in our liberal times, Westerners are called upon to accomodate every nuance of the sensiblilities of Muslims here in our homelands, perhaps Muslims in return would be willing to see this insult and injury to Judaism and Christianity removed and made away in our day. Perhaps it could be disassembled stone by stone and set up in Mecca, a city only Muslims are allowed to visit, and thus it could do less harm there.
He who sits in the heavens shall laugh
G-d laughs at his enemies...
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the nearest gate to the Dome the 'Dung' Gate? How appropriate that the pieces will be carted through that one!
TEHILLIM [Psalm] 110
1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

Amos 7
Vision of the Locusts
Amos and Amaziah
1 Thus the Lord GOD showed me: Behold, He formed locust swarms at the beginning of the late crop; indeed it was the late crop after the king's mowings. 2And so it was, when they had finished eating the grass of the land, that I said:
"O Lord GOD, forgive, I pray!
Oh, that Jacob may stand,
For he is small!"
3So the LORD relented concerning this.
"It shall not be," said the LORD.
See TEHILLIM 83 for the late crop line-up!
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you perish in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are those who put their trust in Him.
How do you guys reconcile this verse with your belief that God will bless the Jews -- who clearly haven't "kissed the Son" -- with the rebuilding of their temple and the destruction of the dome? This verse says that those who deny the Son will "perish in the way".
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies a footstool.
And here again, this verse seems to be at odds with the idea that the Jews will be specially rewarded. It is hard to imagine that the LORD is going to make footstools of the enemies of a people who refuse to aknowledge the lordship of Jesus Christ, as David himself did in the above verse by calling him "my Lord".
It seems to that you guys are projecting a meaning onto these verses which isn't there, while at the same time missing the obvious meaning which is practically jumping off the page.
Above all else, use this quote correctly:
Remember that this often-misquoted phrase (warning) is AGAINST those who ABUSE the sword (weapons/murder/assault/theft) illegally and imorally to steal and take things from others illegally and unethically.
True, liberals have re-written it to try to become: "Those who use the sword, shall die by the sword" .... that is NOT the intention of the orginal.
A person who uses his weapons morally (to defend himself, to protect his family, to protect his household, to serve his nation in just wars) is NOT abusing the sword. Those thieves, terrorists, and zealots who use the sword to kill ARE abusing its power - and so they SHALL go to H**l.
Back Cover...
Jerusalem, mentioned an astonishing 800 times in the Bible, is prophesied to play a key role in world destiny. Scores of biblical prophecies concerning Jerusalem have already come to pass, as will those yet to come.
Jerusalems most staggering history is still to be written. Fast moving events in the Middle East point almost daily toward the grand finale-the time of greatest suffering for Jewish people worldwide, which will climax in the terrifying battle of Armageddon and the and the glorious return of Messiah to rescue Israel and reign over the world from Davids reestablished throne in Jerusalem.
If its 1335 years from the date it was set up, 691, I think we need to do a little math to come to the right number of 365.25 day years
Since the year in the Bible is one of 360 days, and ours is 365.25 days....... 1335 X 360 = 480600 days......divided by 365.25 = 1315.8
Add 1315.8 to 691 and you get 2006.8 give or take a few months......That would put us pretty close to the beginning of the end.
The 1290 day mark would have been around 1962- anything happen then?
BTW others sometimes adjust to 364 days, not your 360, since that was used by the Essenes in antiquity, having exactly 52 weeks and thus 4 quarters of 13 Sabbaths each...
But hey, I hope you are right, for if so then I might be able to live to see it all work out!
BTW, have you read Luke 19:43? Seems Jesus said the Temple would be destroyed.
Those were YOUR feelings.
You are still thinking of that outworn dichotomy, either-or, is it the Church or Israel that is the people of God. Both are of course, and each has a role to perform that the other could not do. Furthermore, eschatologically they become joined together again, and the time for that is NOW!
As Daniel said, when this shattering (dividing) of the power of the holy people (into 2 pieces, Israel and the Church) comes to an end, then everything can be fulfilled. Your approach is outworn and leads to anti-semitism, replacement theology, ecclesiolatry, and Christian smugness, and also plays into Islamic hands. Better prayerfully rethink it. Looks like you might well learn a lot from Yehuda and one or two other posters too...
And it is the very opposite of a "hate piece," as all the other posters but you have seen, so far.
Jesus did forsee that the Temple would be destroyed, but where do you get from that, that it was of no importance, that he considered it profane or worthless (since he said for his followers hundreds of years later to still be watching it and looking for the Abomination to be set up there)...or that it would never, ever be rebuilt? He loved the place, it was his favorite hangout, in its courts he taught. If he had considered it worthless like you do, why would he care if the money changers were profaning it?
You had better watch and pray, for you have stumbled at the stumbling stone, and Israel and Islam have stolen the march on your kind. One for good, one for ill, of course!
