Please pardon me if this is really naive... but I am certain the reason they have not as yet cracked down on the immigration sieve is that by 24/7 intense monitoring, they will end up arresting and deporting THOUSANDS... in other words, I believe that a STING OPERATION is in progress.

I think the crackdown has begun. I have heard rumors from reputable people in the Border Patrol that several Clinton yes men are in the cross hairs of the Bush Administration. One of those individuals is the Director of Western Region USBP, John Williams. Apparently, he has been told to pack his kneepads and resign. Also, the operation plans of several border enforcement agencies have been thrown back in the faces of those that created them because they weren't forceful enough. Hopefully, I will be able to confirm these rumors with solid sources soon.
