Went to my 1st Meeting,
Coast Guard Auxiliary
District 13, Division 5 Flotilla 51 COOS BAY, OREGON
Well while it is NOT being IN the military
(The Navy and Oregon National Guard said 53 is too old to be in.)
it gives me a chance to train to do certain
Coast Guard duties (boat patrols, radio watches, etc)
and free them up for more important matters.
Tonight went great! I'm going to be studying a lot and lots of training to do.
I wish you could have seen the looks on the faces of the crew
at the Coast Guard Station when I said "Thank you for your service to our country."
