We went to one of the Sunday brunches a few weeks ago at one of the Casino's and everyone in the Casino working there had little flag pins, or flags in their change push carts, small flags pinned to their shirts. It was so neat.
The Firday after the attack ,when they had it announced to sing God Bless America where ever we were at a certain time that day.....we were at one of the coffee shops in a Casino and all of a sudden all the servers and bus boys stood at the doorway and held flags and sang God Bless America. It was goosebump time and all the patrons, we sang along and we all had tears in our eyes or streaming down our cheeks.
Just had to share this, I might have before but it is so special and to have it happen here meant a lot .
Luv ya both
I know what you mean about getting tears when they sang "God Bless America". It seems that I get teary at the drop of a hat these days. There are so many emotions ie: love of country, love of our president, sadness for what happened on 9/11, fear for our men and women in the armed forces, pride for our men and women in the armed forces, etc....
I am so thankful for FR and the way we/I can voice those feelings to others that can be supportive. Please let us know what the mural is like at Ceasars. (that's my favorite place in Vegas. :) ) Hugs and smiles :)
