FallGuy and I are going to go over to the Ceasars Mural tomorrow to see it. That area is 10 miles from our home so we tend to not go around there too much ,just for special things.
Where we live ,away from the strip,is like a small town feeling NW of the strip area. I can't wait till it snows and the mountains out of our windows will have tons of snow on them, it is my favorite time of year.
I am so glad you liked it Billie,it is so neat how Vegas is supporting President Bush and our military. The media could take a lesson from them.
I was also impressed with the unorganized patriotism. It was very touching to go into a casino restroom and see a flag from the newspaper scotch taped to the door of where the housekeeping staff keeps it supplies or to see a scantily clad cocktail waitress walking around with a little flat glued to her tip jar.
And Snow Bunny, how you must love Vegas for the view of the mountains. You can see them so clearly there and the air is so fresh and brisk and mountainey. I enjoyed the nights as they were very mild. Usually when we go to Vegas it is very hot or very cold at night. So your fireplace days will return.
For our troops: After the Gulf War, many of the airlines offered free or discounted trips home or anywhere in the USA for the returning troops. If you don't know where to go, consider Las Vegas. I guarantee you will get a good reception from the locals there as well as the visitors from all parts of the country. And if gambling is not your thing, there are so many things to see and do and restaurants to try. The new hotels are just lovely and the ladies will enjoy the shopping at the Foram mall and other malls around town. And lots of golf courses too. And swimming pools, etc. You can have fun in Vegas without sinning. Ha Ha
