All he could say is "Hi, as a governor of Texas, I think that Earley would be a great governor of Virginia". And if he wanted to campaign it's not like Virginia is that far away from Washington DC.

As you are aware by now, the Republican Party of Virginia scored bigtime in the General Assembly (House of Delegates).

Not only that Jerry Kilgore won in a landslide and looks to be the top vote getter of the night and the only one to go over a million votes.

Here's one good reason why Earley was defeated.

The difference is in New Jersey a large segment of the Republican "establishment" refused to support Schundler. Traitors like the acting Senate President Scumbag "Donny" DiFrancisco and big machers like Hazel Gluck, another Rino liberal.

Whenever liberal Republicans are nominated, Conservatives go out in lockstep and vote for them. When the situation is reversed and a conservative is nominated, liberal Republicans sit on their asses or actively support the Demonrat.

From now on, this Conservative Republican will vote for a third party candidate rather then support a liberal Republican.

Another reason McGreevey won was because of the Moslem Scumbags taking attention away from the race with their attack on America. McGreevey was well-known because of his close run against Rino Whitman four years ago. Schundler never had a chance to get his message out . Also, the Demonrats had a lot more money to run in this race than the Republicans did. The Republican national party obviously feels New Jersey and Virginia are expendable. But based on what I read about the Rino the Repubs ran in Virginia, the Democart was the more conservative of the two.

Another reason is the fact that each year, New Jersey gets more and more immigrants from the five boroughs of New York City fleeing the mess they made in that City and taking their policies with them.

Another reason is that women in New Jersey feel they have a constitutional right to kill their babies, and a lot of New Jerseyites only support the carrying of concealed weapons by the police and crooks.

Finaaly, the big political powers in New Jersey, the Newspapers and the unions are all democratic supporters.

Finally, Bush II demonstrated a yellow streak when he avoided endorsing and camapigning for Schundler in New Jersey.

The American populace has demonstrated again for, what, the ten millionth time that they are self-indulgent sheep, not worthy of this once great nation. To Hell with them then. Forget about "awaking the sheeple." They obviously don't give a damn. The ignornant masses will continue to breed. That's what they do, that is all that they are good for.

I am going to admit that I didnt quite understand why prominent republicans werent more involved in promoting Earley.

What is Earley other than a RINO? I heard nothing about school choice, MORE tax cuts, SPENDING CUTS, elimination of unconstitutional bullet taxes or gun sale taxes, nothing that matters to conservatives.

Conservatives in Virginia are ticked off that we didn't even get rid of the car tax. The GOP handed us a lemon. They can suck that lemon themselves. What you saw this year was a conservative base that didn't bother to vote. I voted. But frankly, I was far from excited about that turkey. And so were Virginia conservatives. I think a third party could pick up a lot of local positions in this state. The Virginia GOP certainly is a loser. They want to lose because they feed off the status quo.

Virginia is much more conservative than it was a few years ago. The problem is that the GOP in this state is a lemon.

If Gilmore had done what he promised, the GOP would be strong right now. But since the Virginia GOP torpedoed tax cuts, Virginian conservatives are demoralised.

You need to get some facts straight.

The current Chairman of the RNC and the current Governor of Virginia Jim Gilmore would disagree strongly that Virginia is "expendable." Plus the RNC sank well over $3 million (that I'm aware of) into this race and send some consultants down as well.

Ultimately, although I've fought the good PR fight for the last few weeks, the Earley campaign was flawed from the start. They also suffered from Gilmore's negatives concerning the budget.

Where you are most mistaken is in calling Mark Earley a RINO. And saying Mark Warner is "conservative" is just down right ludicrous. Check out Which Warner?

Mark Warner bought himself a new "fiscal conservative" image and the sheeple of Virginia fell for it.

You're confusing the issues. Gilmore DID do what he promised and the car tax is on schedule, or even ahead of the original proposed schedule. The RINOs in the Senate fought Gilmore, so there ended up being no budget, but since there were no amendments, the car tax cut for this year stayed where it was in the first place.

Mark Warner will be the one to bring back the car tax.

Bush wouldn't endorse anyone. Like his father, he wants to appear ABOVE politics.
He just wants to "govern" and be "bipartisan".
Well, like the old man, he'll be a one-termer.

Warner wasn't buying the Governorship of Va as much as he was placing a US senate seat on layaway. Current Sen John Warner (R) will be 75 when his term expires in 2002. The boy Warner expects to slide into the senate on surname confusion among the voters.

We all know who is to blame for this electoral disaster--its President Bush who decided he was above politics. Now, the entire Commonwealth will have to pay a heavy price for his short-sightedness and determination to overfocus on his own re-election instead of the greater good of the country with four unbearable years of "Slick" Warner!
