This is a GREAT example of how screwed up the government is in dealing with visa holders. Not till the last incident (only after 9/11) did the law enforcement and get clued in the guy was here illegally almost for 9 years.
What really gets me PO'ed is that if I want to buy a hunting rifle, I fill out the yellow sheet and have someone check on me in a matter of minutes. Maybe they should use the same idea to check on those ACTUALLY arrested with the INS computers. They have no problem CHECKING on American citizens who wish to legally own weapons.

Deport this piece of shit along with all the other non-Americans in our country.
We are at war and its time to purge ourselves of non-citizens and stop all immigration into our country until this time of war passes.

That leads me to believe that the conspiracy is much larger than the small cadre that actually perpetrated it.

Iowa police routinely check with INS officials regarding the immigration status of people placed under arrest, he said. That's more than they do in Southern California. I heard some numbnuts local prosecutor from there on the radio just this morning saying that enforcement of federal immigration laws was "not the job of local police," and I couldn't help but wonder if that moron's oath of office included a phrase that required him to support the Constitution of the United States.

Someone hired this guy, the cheapest and most effective way to deal with illegal immigration is to strenghten illegal hiring laws.
It is time to use confiscation against the hirers of illegal aliens. It would only take a Meat packing plant or a major construction company to send the message.

His recent detention is a stark example of how immigration law suddenly is being enforced vigorously, particularly against those of Middle Eastern and Arab descent. Not good enough. Immigration law needs to be vigorously inforced against illegals of ALL ethnicities.

Good one. He runs amuck for 9 years while an illegal alien. No wonder the Muslim world thinks we're soft.
This coddling of illegal alien criminals filters back to every single 3rd world pesthole. Word is out that the USA is a good place to pull scams and be a criminal.

When I went to French schools in the South of France, it was a regular ritual to be invited to watch box cutter fights between muslims and other hoodlums. Then they'd come back to school boasting their scars.

Our borders and immigration policies have become a national disgrace, and now a complete national security nightmare.
We either end this immigration "free for all" or wait to be attacked, multiple times for years to come.
The price we pay for this "immigration free for all" will turn American into a police state for you and your children.

Sounds to me like this guy should not be deported. He should be shot.

It's time to take a page from the old Soviet playbook: pick a few old forgotten rail spurs ending out in nowhere. The first train brings the timber and barbed wire. The first load of illegal aliens build the fences (under close supervision). No tents until the wire is up and secure. Feed them enough to keep them healthy but not too energetic. Staff the camps with retired veteran volunteers who provide their own arms.
After a few months, illegal aliens will be heading for the Rio Grand and swimming south.

Spread the word, anyone who's managed to cross the border by any means, can stay here forever and never be subject to immigration law enforcement. Hurraayy!
I am amused by some people asking "and how are we gonna tell an illegal from a legal?". Duh. At least take care of the illegals when they show up on the radar screen.
