Evidently, you have a problem with people who have a common interest banding together to lobby our government....if they're Jews.

I have a problem with the political system that allows a lobby to corrupt the U.S. government into catering to their faction at the public's expense.

Isn't it probable that the fact that a state of war existed between Israel and Jordan from 1948 to 1994 would account for the restrictions on Jewish access to Jerusalem? After all, they would have been enemy aliens to Jordan. Once Israel occupied those territories in 1967 how much access did the grant to Egyptian or Jordanian nationals not living in the Occupied Territories prior to a peace treaty being signed?

Well, I don't believe AIPAC is "corrupting" the government. Nor is the US government "catering" to their faction and certainly not at the public's expense. To date, I have not been overly fond of AIPAC. However, given your opposition to them, I think I should reconsider my position.

Of course. My point was that the world did not care. It was only when the Jews took over that the world started to care about "access to the holy sites for all".

Once Israel occupied those territories in 1967 how much access did the grant to Egyptian or Jordanian nationals not living in the Occupied Territories prior to a peace treaty being signed?

Freedom of worship was permitted to all. Were Egyptian or Jordanian nationals allowed to worship? I don't know. Were they allowed to travel to Israel by their own governments? If so, then they were allowed to worship at their holy sites.

It was only when the Jews liberated the areas did we begin to hear of this.

The Palestinians chose nationhood because Israeli tyranny, the opposite of liberation, was insufferable.

And they were offered self-determination, but they wanted it all.

At best, they were only offered restricted apartheid-style bantustans under overall Israeli control.

The US government provided millions in aid to the Palestinians.

Unfortunately, it has been more than cancelled out by death and destruction at the hands of Israelis, financed by billions in U.S. aid.

Yet, when America was bombed and 6,000 US citizens were murdered, these people celebrated.

That's a gross over-generalization, an ethnic slur designed to inspire blind hatred and bigotry. While a few celebrated, many more expressed sorrow for the victims of the 9/11 attacks. They held candlelight vigils for the victims and sent heartfelt messages of condolence. A million Palestinian schoolchildren stood for five minutes of silence for the victims. See Factsheet on Terrorist Attack Issues for details.

So what's the solution to the Middle East mayhem? Well, frankly, I don't think there is a man-made solution to the violence. But, if there is one, it needs to begin with truth.

There is a God made solution ! Read Revelation

No, it's not. It's the truth and America saw it before it was pulled by our politically correct liberal media.

While a few celebrated,

And that's a gross under-generalization, an ethnic song and dance designed to blind Americans to the true nature of the Palestinian culture. many more expressed sorrow for the victims of the 9/11 attacks. They held candlelight vigils for the victims and sent heartfelt messages of condolence. A million Palestinian schoolchildren stood for five minutes of silence for the victims.

Palestinian propaganda engineered for American consumption. The truth is what we saw right after the attacks....not what Yasir Arafat engineered after he realized that the truth was getting out.

Israel failed to offer Palestinians living in the occupied territories any palatable alternative to national self-determination.
And why was that Israel's task? The "Palestinians" had their homeland, it is Jordan. But when they went there, Jordan, a Muslim state, threw them out with a minimum of fuss.
Doesn't one have to be a country before being able to be "occupied"?
Pretend countries don't count

Israel did not choose to annex all the conquered territories and give Israeli citizenship to the non-Jewish Palestinians living there.
Why should they? When Iraq, Iran and Syria were created out of the Turkish empire, the first thing they did was to expel all Jews without notice or ceremony.

Instead, Israel instituted a despotic military regime to tyrannize occupied Palestinians while gradually confiscating their land and water for use by Israelis.
How could it be their land/water whatever if they had either sold or abandoned their land?
The was no pretend country "Palestine" then.
Don't you have to be a country first before you can be occupied?
Pretend countries don't count.

Sadly, the U.S. government, controlled by the pro-Israel lobby, aided and abetted this process. Americans suffer when their political process is corrupted by powerful factions.

Really?
And the "Palestinians" are controlled by the comic-book-as-religion lobby.
What's your point?
Islamic nonsense is better than imaginary pro-zionist nonsense?

I am not now, nor have I ever been a Jew.
I am very happy supporting Israel financially and morally without pressure from anyone.

Now, ask me if sending aid to Egypt, Afghanistan or any other comic-book-as-religion country pisses me off...

The video I saw showed a toothless old woman and some skinny kids dancing for candy handed out by scruffy looking gunmen. That silly old woman and kids probably didn't even know what they were celebrating, other than free candy. Nevertheless, the footage was useful to bigots out to smear Palestinians as a group.

The video I saw showed

It must take a lot of effort to avoid seeing the other 10 videos that got out (before Arafat's goons confiscated them) showing young toothy rag wearing maniacs armed to the teeth, apparently well fed with access to matches and spewing hate.

And why was that Israel's task? The "Palestinians" had their homeland, it is Jordan.

Historical Palestine includes modern Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. Jordan's population is about 50% Palestinian. Most of them were war refugees and their descendants.

But when they went there, Jordan, a Muslim state, threw them out with a minimum of fuss.

Jordan did threw out the PLO once, after it rebelled against Hashemite rule. However, most Palestinian residents were allowed to stay.

Doesn't one have to be a country before being able to be "occupied"?

The American patriots who fought for independence from Britain didn't think so.

I was given to understand that Osama bin Laden's terrorist organization, al-Qaeda, was responsible for the 9/11 attacks.
