The federal investigation into the bioterrorism attack on America led to North Olden Avenue in Trenton yesterday, where authorities raided an apartment and detained a Pakistani man before testing the residence for anthrax.

Authorities also took swabs of a curbside mail drop box almost directly in front of the building, which they searched for about five hours. They confiscated several garbage bags of evidence.

I think this group happens to be living at the wrong place. My hunch is that the anthrax warriors are a moving target. I'll bet they're living at Econo lodges and in the back of their Ryder truck.

Late getting back to you, since my connection went down (hurricane related?). Agreed that Atta and co. were mobile and secretive -- but what these guys might have going for them is the FBI is "reluctant" to search Mosques (according to a story posted on FR last week); more than one mosque is headed by an MD -- what better hiding place for anthrax, with antibiotics readily available from their leader?

Der Spiegel is reporting that the No. Olden Ave. apartment is near a post office. Anybody know whether that's true?

No the apartment is not near a Post Office. There are three PO's about equidistant to it -- 1.5 to 2 miles away -- that is NOT close.

There is a blue collection box right outside the apartment
