Typical democrat, Gray Davis: insert his own selfie into the headlines, crying "henny-penny" even though the info given him, was NOT, and is NOT confirmed, and it came with instructions "not for media release"!

In its note, sent to eight western states this information was sent to eight western governors, only Davis decided to grandstand and hold a press conference....typical political move rather than show restraint and concern for the welfare of the country and his citizens.

The Governor of California, Gray Davis, decided on his own on Thursday to make public a confidential warning that had been conveyed to him and to seven other western states by the FBI on Wednesday. The warning said terrorists might be planning attacks on suspension bridges on the West Coast, beginning yesterday. The Governor's announcement, made at a hastily arranged press conference, triggered charges yesterday that he was overreacting and sowing panic unnecessarily among Californians.
Talked with Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe this afternoon, he says he and the rest of the BOS and the county sheriff had to find out about this by HEARING IT ON THE RADIO to get the county Emergency Ops Center rolling - Davis hadn't bothered telling them a damn thing.

Gray Davis is a self absorbed, cheap and selfish individual. His "patriotism" extends only as far as his polls. He is perfectly "Clintonesque". The good governor doesn't understand that as of 9 something EST, September 11, 2001 the world has changed, the United States of America has changed, and he is just a bad dream left behind, and he screams his irreliancy into a deaf abyss.
Patriots needed, Gray Davis need not apply!

intercepts were credible partly because the interlocutors wrongly expressed their confidence that no one was eavesdropping on them. This piece bothers me. Albeit we ridicule the terrorists, and obviously hate them, these are not stupid people. They killed thousands of people located in our land in a way that many would not even dream of. With the hightend surveillance, I doubt highly they would be this stupid. If I were running any kind of murderous operation, the first order of business would be to never speak in the "clear". The more that is coming out about this, the more I am buying into the diversionary tactic theory.
Addendum: These are the same folk that have already demonstrated their use of crypto by means of passing info tucked away within in porn pics. Talking freely on the phone is not their MO.

Thanks for posting this.
The info about the possible new attacks is indeed frightening to say the least.
For someone like Gray Davis to try and use this for political gain is unforgivable.
After living in CA for 15 plus years I am so glad I left years ago.
In the meantime all of us, in every state, need to help do our part to protect and guard our great nation.
How YOU can assist/support HOMELAND DEFENSE

Mr Bush and his advisers were faced with a dilemma when they saw the information. Excuse me but, (MR. BUSH ????) Shouldn't that read President Bush ????

...crying "henny-penny" ...Get your Mother Goose straight. Chicken Little said the sky was falling. Henny Penny wanted to make bread, but nobody would help her grow the wheat, mill the flour, knead the dough, etc., etc.. Of course, everyone wanted to share in the loaf. But Henny Penny ate it all by herself.
Henny Penny is my role model. I don't feel guilty enjoying the fruits of my own hard work.

OK, still getting terrorist threats but still no deportations?? You can't attack the US if you aren't here!! Very simple to figure out.

US intelligence agencies believed the intercepts were credible partly because the interlocutors wrongly expressed their confidence that no one was eavesdropping on them. They were, therefore, speaking relatively freely. They also suggested that attacks would occur in the ensuing days.Truthfully, I wouldn't take this warning too seriously. If the threat were credible, there is no way the feds would tip off the terrorists that their phones are tapped. I mean, come on, let's be real here.
Still, I like this. The Dems have given the administration carte blanche to publicize any possible threat they choose, no matter how vague or far-fetched. Since, no doubt, the mosques and the muslim community centers are full of deadbeat wannabes fantasizing about every terrorist scenario under the sun, the administration is completely at liberty to scare up any threat they want, whenever they want. This will keep the War on Terror on the front-burner even through the dull patches, turn up the heat on the muslies, and ensure that the electorate avoids Democratic candidates like the bubonic plague come November. Works for me.
