My copy of the DICNAVAB, 1982, (I have it right here.) lists PCOD as Permanent Change of Duty. That's about all that's safe to type.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. I never would have guessed that the official definition was "Permanent Change of Duty".

Since I was neither an officer nor a gentleman, I was never privy to the refined definitions being circulated in the wardroom. We had a completely different interpretation down in the Chief's mess. ;-)
