Hi Clint,

I've been away for awhile, but it's nice to find that you've been educating yourself about hermaphroditism, sexual anomalies, etc. Keep at it and you'll eventually decide that some people really can't be said to be "born with one gender."

Paul Jesup exaggerated when he suggested that female assignment is standard procedure, but sadly, not by much. For much of the 20th century, the large majority of such surgical interventions have been along the lines of "constructing" a female. For one thing, it's generally a simpler procedure, but also, there has been a probably well intended tendency among physicians and psychologists to equate "maleness" with "adequate penis." That seems to be changing and -- I repeat myself -- it's about time.

Meanwhile, I wish you'd stop equating "anybody who says anything you don't like" to "liberal with an agenda." For one thing it ain't true, and for another it adds nothing to the thread.

Along that same line, you might do a self-search and then ask yourself whether somebody who's never posted anything other than a predictable rant on homosexuality might be suspected of "having an agenda."

Have a great day!

Do you think if you say it enough it will become fact? You’re welcome to site your assertions too, generalizations don’t work, be specific.

Paul Jesup exaggerated {lied} when he suggested that female assignment is standard procedure, but sadly, not by much. For much of the 20th century, the large majority of such surgical interventions have been along the lines of "constructing" a female.

That was then, this is now. And, countless other erroneous procedures have been preformed unnecessarily in the 20th century, but that’s not why we’re having this conversation, is it?

For one thing, it's generally a simpler procedure, but also, there has been a probably well intended tendency among physicians and psychologists to equate "maleness" with "adequate penis." That seems to be changing and -- I repeat myself -- it's about time.

Is it wrong to surgically move the urethra of a hypospadias patient that has a 3cm phallic to its tip? Is it wrong to remove ovotestis or regressed ovary? But’ this isn’t why we’re here either, is it?

Meanwhile, I wish you'd stop equating "anybody who says anything you don't like" to "liberal with an agenda." For one thing it ain't true, and for another it adds nothing to the thread.

Ah, but the “transsexual, homosexual” agenda is a liberal agenda, isn’t it? And that’s why were here! You can deny that social liberalism isn’t liberal all you want, but perversion will never be a conservative issue. You’re quote that “If you don't have solid answers for these questions, [re: determination of gender] then maybe you don't have solid reasons for denying marriage between two men and two women”, rings true of your agenda.

Here is your chance, and you’ve ducted the question before as well as Paul (since you apparently speak for him) several times on this thread, are you inferring that intersexuality is in any way connected to transsexulaity or homosexuality?

Along that same line, you might do a self-search and then ask yourself whether somebody who's never posted anything other than a predictable rant on homosexuality might be suspected of "having an agenda."

If my “rant” is inaccurate you’re welcome to prove me wrong. Let’s start with whether perversion is a chosen behavior or genetically or biologically innate. Or, since you speak for Paul, you’re welcome to address any of Kruijver’s transsexual jusifying studies that Paul proffered to relate intersexuality to “transsexualism”
