Isn't that Whiney Wellstone sitting next to Hildebeast in the photo?

Two useless, space-occupying lesions, if you ask me!

Boy did this city slicker feel stupid!

LOL! That is really funny! Sounds like something I would do, too.

here on the prairie all we've got is corn stubble and turned fields for winter.

OOO Pictures please. I think sharing the beautiful landscape that makes up America is so interesting. I'm a desert gal from So. Cal, so trees and stuff are a treat for me.

That's really cute. I have this blanket that I drag from room to room when it's cold in the house. I don't know how it started but the cat likes to jump on the end of the blanket as it drags on the floor and ride it around as I pull it. I'll say, "Ding Ding! Who wants a blankie ride!" and she will jump on the blanket and it makes her so happy!

Gosh, that's kind of bizzare when I see it written.

Thank you for your kind words! I just happened to get on a theraputic roll last night. It was great to write such a gentleman, one who so graciously welcomed this delinquent Guild member. The Guild is filled with wonderful people who take the time to care for each other...the men are especially protective and that is more than fine with me!

Howlin, how are you? It is that time of year for me.

Billie and Snow Bunny, I love the canteen! I have a picture, actually two, I could send. One is recent, the other twenty years ago after birthin' four of my munchkins. It is a hoot, very sexy and dramatic. It might be fun for the canteen. My husband couldn’t believe putting my hair up and wearing a mink could transform this little mom into a desirable woman! LOL! Which do you want? If you "take off my head", promise me you will dress me in something that is “in my colors”! (I am a winter.)

You'll have to tell me how to send them to you. I have a scanner, but haven't had the time to figure out how to use it.

I'll check back after school pick-ups!

Hey! I'm still hanging in here, trying to get my mother's move finished. This is going to be the longest move in history, I'm sure.

And it's that time of year for me, too; it's hard to believe he's been gone almost a year. Your in my thoughts a lot -- even though I'm a hit and run poster as of late.

Oh yeah...I can't wait!! Is this the 3rd or 4th attempt?? You would think after the last one they would just give it a rest and ditch the whole thing.

EMMYS ON AGAIN
Third Time's a Charm

Postponed twice for the only time in history, the Emmy Awards have been rescheduled for November 4 at the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles.

(Click here for a word from our chairman.)

Organizers were still working out logistical details of the ceremony, but Academy President Jim Chabin indicated that the show would be scaled down from the original gala planned for September 16, before the September 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington.

The ceremony was called off again hours before broadcast time October 7 because of the U.S.-British air attacks on Afghanistan.

"This show is going to go on -- war, hell or high water," said Chabin. "The world is moving on. The country is moving on."

Originally scheduled at the Shrine Auditorium, the show's audience will be smaller than anticipated because only about 2,000 seats are available at the Shubert. The academy had President Bush's blessing to hold the show at a local military base, but officials ruled it out because of logistical complications for both the armed forces and television crews.

Ellen DeGeneres will remain as host, and the traditional post-ceremony dinner is scheduled at the main ballroom of the Century Plaza Hotel, across the street from the Shubert. There won't be a simultaneous ceremony in New York City as earlier planned.

Red-carpet arrivals and press coverage were planned at the Shubert, one of Los Angeles' historical landmarks in Century City, although fans were again being asked to watch the coverage from home.

The decision was questioned for several reasons, not least over the financial implications a cancellation would mean for CBS, which is broadcasting the live show, and for the academy.

"It's not a money issue," Academy Chairman Bryce Zabel told reporters. "It really was an issue that people got together and said, 'Is it the right thing to do, or is it not the right thing to do?'"

Reporters also pointed out that the show could conflict with the World Series if the fall baseball classic, broadcast on Fox, goes to a seventh game. That's fine, Zabel said.

"I think the image that sends to America -- two live events that they've come to watch every year are happening again, and they're going head-to-head -- I think that's a wonderful image for America, and I'd be happy to be a part of that," he said.

Producer Gary Smith will update the show using elements from the previous two scripts, Chabin said.

I recognize most of the names, but have no idea who some of these so-called stars might be. Legends in their own minds, no doubt. Nevertheless, I will try to sit through the program for the sake of the Guild (forgive me if I seize up halfway through and scream "no mas, no mas!")

Speaking of Halloween candy, CC, while I appreciate M&Ms - especially peanut - as much as the next person, I have to say I was elated when my mother, whom I met at the baking seminar, showed up with some full-sized Butterfingers! Seems she didn't have a big turnout of trick-or-treaters last night, all the better for me. The King Arthur baking school was great. I didn't win a door prize, alas, but am all fired up to make holiday sweet breads. I think I'll head over for the artisan breads program tonight. If they can show me how to make the perfect baguette, it all will be worth it.
