The guy who has the lease on the land wants to rebuild, but he plans to put up something else, perhaps four 50-story buildings. I think this is a grave mistake-- they would be looked upon forever as "the stumps that replaced the Twin Towers." And the terrorists will have won a victory, which is one too many.

I agree. However, who would work in buildings like that? Ever since the 93 bombing, I'd resolved never to enter again. And I never have.

So, that means they won. They have terrorized you to the point where you won't even go into a skyscraper. That is a d@mn shame.

There are many of us who would gladly work in the WTC, if it were to rise from the ashes. No stronger statement of defiance and declaration of our resilience than to get right back on that horse.
