What is your problem? I'm not happy about any of it, I'm just saying that I can't see myself ever doing what some of them did in jumping. That is no reason to get all worked up.

As you pointed out, there were many WHO WERE THERE who did not jump. Are you upset with them too?

It doesn't matter much whether they jumped or not, as they were doomed either way. But unless you've been in a very similar situation, you have no way of knowing what you might or might not actually do. How close were you to the towers when they were on fire? Do you have *any* idea how bad it was?

The reason people are getting "worked up" about what you've written is because you are being a bit self-righteous here, about what *you* would do, and how *you* would never jump. If these people had an easy means of escaping a burning building other than jumping, don't you think they would have done that? It's easy to be the armchair quarterback here, and say what you would have done, but you didn't have to face that horrible decision that day. Those people had two choices: 1) death by burning/smoke inhalation or 2) death by jumping. You say that you didn't see anybody on fire when they jumped, but did you know that most people who die in fires die due to smoke inhalation, not the burning itself?
