Here's another example of smoking bans hurting businesses.
Even after making arrangements with completely seperate sections, right down to different ventilation systems, it still seems you can't satisfy the antis. Why try?
FIGHT IT!

Another update from Duluth Minn.

Another good reason to quit smoking. Especially if you have kids.
To: LurkedLongEnough
If a person wants to quit, that's fine.
I don't want anybody MAKING me quit.
Which is what the antis have in store for a smoker if they have their way.
To: LurkedLongEnough
Another good reason to quit smokingOh, and by the way, what would that reason be?
To: LurkedLongEnough
No, it's another good reason to quit eating out. Too expensive and too many calories anyway.

Quit smoking now.
It's for your health.
I don't care if you like it, stop.
I know what's best for you.
It's a dirty habit and should be banned globally.
Do it for the children.

Hi Joe! I'm with you! I won't stand being made to give up something that is perfectly legal! Anything illegal, I steer clear of. But tobacco and smoking is legal, and I love it. I was brought up in smoke filled homes, the whole family smoked. I hung out in smoke filled bars and smoking restaurants. No asthma. No problems. No wimps.
My Grandfathers, Uncles, Dad, hubby, served time in the military, and the wars. All smoked. No problems.
These pissy antismokers today are true wimps. Ball-less! All the antismokers are wimp wrists. Sorry, but it's true.

When will Americans learn that the various "wars" CREATED by the US Government and their little boot-licking state governments, is nothing more than a scare tactic used by them to DESTROY utterly and completely, the Bill of Rights.
War on Poverty
War on Drugs
War on Illiteracy
War on Smokers
War on Terrorism
It's ALL the same, and it's ALL for the same purpose -- the destruction of individual liberties. By supporting one war, you give the nod of approval for ALL of them.
Keep supporting these communist in government and they'll keep INVENTING wars. They've got a million of 'em.
To: JRadcliffe
And the bigger the bucks, the harder the war. I hear ya!

LOL! They upped the price of cigs to keep the kids from buying them but the kids have more money to blow than Mom and Dad! I can't get over how the government tells a person he cannot allowing smoking in his private establishment that serves the public! Those non-smokers can go to some nice boring bar and drink scotch all night, get drunk and barf all over the place for all I care. They have choices, smokers don't.

Jaidyn! They upped the taxes to keep kids from buying cigarettes? heh! I have seen kids buy Niki's that cost $100 dollars. You think cigarette taxes will prevent them from buying? No way. I'm sick of hearing it's for the kids! Cigarettes are NOT for kids! It's for adults who enjoy and choose to smoke.
Higher cigarette taxes have just imposed a big hardship on adults. It has forced us to go elsewhere to buy them. Most of us roll our own now. For under $8.00, you can have a whole carton. Sure beats paying $40-$50 dollars a carton in "this" day and age. I love it! There is always an alternative to Big Tobacco! And the state cigarette taxes! :)

I rolled a few back in college but have lost the knack.
To: Eric in the Ozarks
You don't have to "roll" them
They have stuffing machines that make a cigarette that looks just like one you would buy.
Anywhere from $10 up to $75.
If you're interested go to your local tobacco shop and ask them.
To: SheLion
Correction SheLion, They are totalitarians just like gun control wackos, environmental wackos and every other group who want to control our lives. The newest wackos are the ones that want a National ID card.
These people are as dangerous to our freedoms as are the devils who trashed the WTC.
For what it's worth, I am a non-smoker.

Smoke Cheap! It's your civic duty. :)
Smoke Cheap
I went to this site, and invested in a wonderful machine that rolls out perfectly made cigarettes.
Then, at the local Smoke Shop, I buy a bag of tobacco that makes a carton, for $5.75, and a box of 200 filtered tubes for $1.99. Can't beat this. I have made my own now since the 22nd of June. You should really try this. You will have money left over now, for other things. :)

poet! You sound like a very nice "non smoker," too. Your not an antismoker! I like that.
There is always one group out there trying to tell another group how to live. It's mind boggling. I hate it.

A nice "tavern" with a bar, burgers, sandwiches, and the like could clean up if they offered smoking. Banning smoking on private property should be unconstitutional. Let the free market decide.

1Old Pro. You hit the nail right on the head! I have often wondered how "they" can go into a private business and tell them how to run it. Kinda makes you think back to the nazi days, doesn't it? :(
