[history]
Washington - The FBI has been using subpoenas from a Florida grand jury to obtain information from universities and research institutions, including Long Island's Brookhaven National Laboratory, as part of its search for possible sources of contraband anthrax or people with the expertise to make it.
While investigators still do not know the origin of the pure, fine-grained anthrax mailed to the office of Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.), some experts have said it could be the work of a competent, doctorate-level microbiologist.

After reading the posts of the Palestinina-kudzu-eating neo-nazi wacko disruptors on here prior to Sept 11, (since banned) quite frankly I wouldn't be surprised if they were involved. They were essentially the same as far lefties- same coin, different side.
What that means is if it was them, in all probability they are working WITH the arab terrorists, because they were certainly good at repeating the same mantras. More than any other group in the US, neonazi types have a reason to be tight with the WTC/Pentagon/PA terrorists. If so, Iraq is still not out of the picture.
It could be that the investigators are also obtaining documents and access in order to determine who was NOT involved, and so get closer to the suspect by a process of eliminination.

I've got a Lab. But I don't know how much a subpoena will do. She's only 14 weeks old and besides 'Sit' and 'Stay' and 'Peepies' and 'Dukies' she doesn't know a heck of a lot right now...

People are worried about foreign nationals who get student visas and then don't show up for class. It may be that we should worry more about the very diligent, very capable ones who DO show up.
There are quite a number of students from mainland China; and many from Syria and other such places. They take courses in biology, immunology, computer security, and so forth.

The FBI showed routine interest in Princeton as a place with a graduate program in molecular biology...We told them there is no Anthrax research on campus. What then, is Princeton Research Center, and is it off campus?

I don't believe it came from any domestic groups.
Lott was being interviewed on Fox this morning after meeting with W and was asked about a right wing conservative source for the anthrax. He just laughed and claimed never to have heard that speculation and said he had received many briefings on this matter from the administration but that had never surfaced as a possibility.
The lyin' mthrfckng media is striking out on this pathetic attempt to slime conservatives. HeHeHe.

As a native New Jerseyan If I were the Feds I would look real hard at Princeton University and the people associated with it. After all it is a stones throw from where the first letters were mailed from. Also from what we read here, It does not appear that Princeton University was all that cooperative.
