It was a perfect day -- warm, sunny skies, slight breeze, gifted speakers, family atmosphere, C-Span coverage, inspiring and witty signs, the Washington Monument at our backs and a view of the White House behind the speaker's podium, people with a purpose. Flags were everywhere.
I had lurked a long time at Free Republic and had just become a member of the DC Chapter at the beginning of the month. I volunteered to help with organization, clean-up, whatever and am the proud owner of a red "Event Staff" hat from the March for Justice.
It was an honor to meet fellow FReepers from across the land, though it was impossible to meet them all, and feel like we were taking part in a big family reunion. I know I will never forget that day.
