They believed that people inherently will abuse power if there are no checks and balances, hence we have such a system. They believed that people with power would want to end the power of the masses, hence, we have a form of government where the people elect their representatives (note there are only 2 senators allowed per state but a House of Representatives directly correlated to the people) . . . and on and on. Now, can one imagine what Hitlery would be like if she actually had the free reign she now only believes she has? I shudder to think.

Demonizing, smearing, and destroying witnesses to cover up wrongdoings.
Numerous campaign finance abuses.
Money laundering.
Illegal foreign campaign contributions.
Willingly accepting donations from drug dealers, spies, and international arms smugglers.
Serious National Security breaches.
Bombing countries to deflect attention from political problems.
Obstruction of Justice.
Witness tampering.
Witness intimidation.
Violation of the Privacy Act.
Blackmail.
Serial perjury.
