They tend to rupture your diaphram (sp?)as you cower in your bunker or trench with devastating physical effects. Nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. Sheer terror! Too bad for the Talitubbies.

We used a number of these during the Gulf War on Hussein's Republican Guard. Yes, they do remove all oxygen, and those not blown up from the blast, explode from air leaving their lungs to fill the vacuum left by the FAE.

If the aerosol dispersal is correct, all the oxygen inside the fireball will be consumed. In a way this is opposite to ordinary high explosives which add significant air [mostly nitrogen compounds] to the air, suddenly, causing a local excess.
