I have a problem with those who claim some sort of inside information from above. They're doing nothing but stroking their own egos when they claim to be God's spokesman.

How does this attack differ from Pearl Harbor? What was God's message then? Maybe it was get off your butt and take care of business.

Maybe the WTC event was to help save the country from some future attack that would destroy millions of people. At least we're taking the threat much more seriously than we ever have before.

The Bible shows us information about God. It shows what angers Him, it shows how He reacts, it shows His grace and mercy. The information is open to all who have eyes to see and ears to hear. It is not insider information.

I do not know precisely why God allowed 911 to occur. I do know that He is in control and do not believe in coincidences. My personal feeling is it is a warning, but I do not have that on direct information from God - nor do I claim to. I know that our nation has tried for years to dismiss the Lord, has blasphemed Him, has disregarded His commands and whored after the god of Money. A nation that does this certainly doesn't deserve God's favor. The way God has consistantly acted throughout history is to warn people before judgment, to give an opportunity to repent. The questions now are, is this our opportunity and how will we react?

I, too have the same problem. Religious egos quote and they quote and they quote scriptures from the old testament about God's wrath and destruction, but seem to ignore all the New Testament scriptures that talk about God's love and mercy. They ignore all the New Testament scriptures that state Jesus was sent to save us from the law and that he was our sacrifice and that by accepting the covering of his blood sacrifice, they were accepted into the Father's arms. But yet they want to beat everyone over the head with the fact that if they don't behave God is going to strike them dead for something. Sin destroys, yes, but generally it does the sinner in. Now they would have us believe God would kill one person for another's sin. But God's everylasting love will even take then sinner out of his own messes if he so desires God's mercy. They somehow need an re-introduction to the love of God.

In my own prayers, God has dealt with me through the scriptures and may God forgive me if I've ever used the scriptures as a weapon like I've seen them used here in this and other forums here. What I've read here from people who profess to be believers deeply distrubs me. May God forgive me if I've ever used scriptures to judge someone's state of salvation. That's not my job and I cringe at some of the messages I've read here from people who probably believe they are doing the "work of the Lord". I send warning to those people that if you hurt one of God's children, even if you are saved, he will deal with you about it one way or another. Spiritual arrogance is dangerous and please examine your own life and quit examining America and the lives of others. Like my grandma said "tend to your own knitting". I believe with all my heart that we have entered into a time where the hypocrisy and arrogance of the children of God are going to be tried and rooted out. There is no escape from this. My heart has ached for years at Christians who drive other believers away from the Word of God, the church with judgemental and painted pictures of a God that doesn't exist. Sadly, I've seen a lot of that behavior in this forum.

So for the hard of hearing: GOD IS NOT A MURDERER. HE DIDN'T KILL ANYONE ON SEPTEMBER 11. I believe his heart was broken probably more than ours at the deaths we saw because some idiot decided to commit murder.

Having a prophetic gift, i.e. hearing from God and announcing it, is a difficult gifting because you say things that are not popular and not always well-received. God is speaking to His people today and He uses these prophets to deliver the message. Sometimes we have a tendency to 'kill the messenger,' and David Wilkerson is one of these messengers. God is raising many prophets to speak His messages but too many folks just do NOT want to hear it so they poo poo it. Sad for them.
