I appreciate you responding but that's not quite what I'm asking. Since 9/11 I have heard many say that we're being "chastised"--as a nation. So what concrete actions should our nation take?
I note that the author keeps mentioning abortion. Does he want abortion outlawed? Is the fact that we currently do not outlaw abortion the reason we've been "chastised"? If that's what he thinks he should say so straight up.
In the interest of honesty I should say that I do not agree with this theory of Heavenly punishment. I try to listen to all viewpoints but am growing weary of the vague finger-waving. I would like the proponents of this theory to speak plainly. Their failure to do so makes me think that they are exploiting this tragedy to advance their agenda.

REPENTANCE is needed, alpowolf. This country needs to see the error of its way and repent for the sins of the nation. It's an individual thing, I guess. The president can call for a national day of repentance but whether he does or not is immaterial. It's up to US in our own hearts to see the sin of this nation and to repent of it for our nation and for ourselves.
