Maybe it is me , but I dont remember ever reading where I have to respect people I dislike , disagree with , nor folks I view as my enemy .

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

By adhering to these priciples upon which we as a nation were founded, you are showing respect which is simply regarding another as your equal. This is a minimum of due respect for all men. Their opinions are just as important as yours regardless of perceived correctness. Treason is another matter, but you wouldn't know it from the way it has been thrown around here.

In the real world , there is no such thing as equality . I think you are confusing social graces with respect . Again , respect is earned and I'll not digress its value by giving it away .

Dream on. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but not all opinions carry equal weight.

The opinions of emasculators and those they emasculate may seem weighty to relativistic, emotion-driven "moderates", but they carry very little weight with critical thinkers.
