Is it just buying time to get the required military forces into the region? That's my vote, along with a coordinated attack plan.

FBI is full of idiots;

#1. Who are you addressing?
#2. Who are the terrorists?
To: Bommer
Some just like being anarchists to cause as much disruption and panic as possible. Look around you. All the anarchy is being caused by left wing extremists.
All those protestors are left wing.
Protesting Conservative has always been an oxymoron.
Since the attack, the right wing , and the malitias, have been protesting FOR AMERICA!
To: Servant of the Nine
This is a more concerted attack, the Jihad.
We certainly will try convict and sentence to death those responsible!

Always the blame game with the clintons. Challenge him to back up the accusation.

"to talk about the whereabouts and capabilities of local militiamen"
According to the Constitution, members of the militia are all about these investigating officers, including the very said same Ann Arbor officers of the law.
The F.B.I. has wigged out.
Not to mention, is ignorant of the Constitution.

The Clinton-Reno-Freeh fascist koolaide drinkers in the FBI would love to pin this on Americans. Like they did for OKC bombing patriots Tim McVeigh and Terry Nickels. When it first broke, all anyone talked about was that Iraqis were responsible for the bombing. Also they were 2 former militia members were they not? The problem here is that if that someone even suggests that 1 militia out there might be at fault, you assume its an attack on all militia. Not so! But I know every element has a lunitic fringe!

reminds me about the military ordering the troops not to be able to comment on the politics going on at the time.

Still, as the evidence mounts of al Qaeda and Iraqi involvement, the FBI seems hellbent on looking the other way. The Bush Administration isn't saying much. Looking at "all leads" doesn't mean they are putting Iraq on the back burner... Investigations take time. Why point the finger publically at Iraq yet if we aren't ready to act against them? The media has been spinning the "right-wing hate groups" line. I'm sure many left-wing hate groups are also being investigated. Bottom line, the media has continuously represented their own theories as coming from the Bush administration, even when they didn't.

Well, the U.S. now has the new Anti-terrorism Law, they can and will harass anyone who speaks a cross word about the US GOV. One big step to fight terrorism, One gigantic step for the NEW WORLD ORDER. You think the IRS was bad, just wait.
To: Campion
There are too many clinton hangers on in govt.. You're going to be lied to again and again. I want to know why they're still there.
To: Bommer
Is that an admission?
To: Bommer
Goal was to shut down our economy by insighting widespread panic.
Financial warefare!
Yes I'll agree there are radical anarchists, but doesn't look like their work!
Besides, they will try to do everything to divide us and make things look like something it is not.
Look how divided our country was during the elections, we were on the brink of internal war.
This was the miscalculation our foreign adversaries made!
We come together in time of our common defense!!
To: animus
I dont understand why you people are defending the terrorists. Do you feel guilty because you share the same politcal beliefs or what? We're not supporting the terrorists. We vote for the right wing canidates. I don't think anyone here voted for Clinton. Where have you been?

The American public wants blood, but the President is correct in using time to our advantage to build and prepare this country for what is coming!
Patients!
To: Southack
The F.B.I. are terrorists themselfs. The American public is not involved in this.

For some reason, the administration is going doing its very best to give the impression that they're not implicating Iraq. I think there is a huge disinformation campaign underway here. I agree with the idea that the US is not yet ready to take on Iraq. Whether this is for reasons to do with the coalition, or military/intel preparedness is up in the air. The administration really seems to doing its best to deflect the blame of this from Iraq.
Another possibility is that the administration knows full-well that Saddam is behind the anthrax attacks. On other threads related to this topic, folks have been arguing that long-standing US policy is retaliation in kind for the use of WMD. Problem: terrorists use "conventional" means (the hijacked planes) to kill thousands of people, and then the terrorists use a WMD to kill only a few. So, even if the administration knows Iraq is behind the anthrax attack, they may not know, at this point, what the appropriate response should be.
