I run Win2K Pro on all of my systems. Have you found an upgrade to XP to be smooth from Win2K? From what I saw of XP at work (we've had it in our team for some time for eval....), it looks like Win2K with a new paint job. I've been very, VERY happy with Win2K Pro.........any good reasons you can point out to upgrade to XP? Interested in your opinion........

I've heard a lot of people suggest that Windows XP is merely Win2K with a new Shell. That is nonsense. The biggest impediment to having consumers use Win2K was that its compatibility with a lot of consumer applications was pretty limited. Nearly all business apps work but there was limited emphasis to make games and that sort of thing work. XP strives to be as compatible with Win9x as possible while maintaining the reliability of Win2K. That was a huge effort and, I assure you, more than mere window dressing.
