I have seen someone sit in a ER waiting room with symptoms of a heart attack waiting for intake. A lot can happen in an ER waiting room in 5 hours. Real life is not neat and tidy. My cousin, a physician, dropped dead of a heart attack in the middle of the cardiac intensive care section of the hospital he worked in. Sometimes, when people have a heart attack, there's nothing that can be done. But I'm not sure what that has to do with smallpox.
You do realize that when an epidemic occurs, that certain procedures are put in place?
Do you inderstand how contagious smallpox is?
Look what I am trying to say is the world of a ER waiting room is not perfect. The guy came in went to the front desk and said I am have chest pains and shortness of breathe In a prefect world he would have been rushed back to a room, in real life the chick at the counter told him to go sit down and wait till he was called. I spend as little time in ERs and doctor's offices as I can get by with. I figure if I am not really that sick going in I very well might be coming out.
