Beulah the buzzer says "Wrong!" Sin, al ilah, the moon god of the arabs gradually became Mohammed's god, al ilah aka allah. It is true that Mohammed tried to practice a little sycretism in a effort to make his pathetic little moon god look a little better, by saying a few confusing things about how his little god had succeeded to the family tree of others -- including the true God. But allah has nothing at all to do with JHWH and His Son, Jesus.
Care to select from another category where you might do a little better.
Well said -- as usual.
I was reading Jeremiah last night and was struck by the currency of the debate between Hannaniah and Jeremiah. After Judah had been conquered by Nebuchadnezzar (Jr.) and the leadership carried away, Jeremiah told them the Word of God -- that it would last 70 years. But Hannaniah, the false prophet had a more pleasing message -- "I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon. Within two years I will bring you back ...."
This reminded me of the appeal of the talking heads to whom a three-week war against Mohammedan terror is a "quagmire" -- and how popular it is to say "This is a small group of terrorists and this will all be over soon." Suppose it isn't? Suppose this is the life and death struggle between Christianity and Mohammedanism with a large slice of pleasure-seeking (and totally confused) agnostics and 'atheists' on the side spouting nonsense? With the evil side controlling a large segment of our oil supply? Suppose this is just what it appears to be -- good versus evil -- and a large group of Americans didn't know that was a choice they had to make?
One sees how confusing it is to liberals -- "Well they are sincere, aren't they?" Yes, well, sincerely evil. As some are beginning to ask, suppose -- just suppose -- God were to use this massive presence of sincere, pure evil in the world mouthing pagan platitudes to bring about a true Christian revival? Is it possible?
