I never said that. do you aways twist words like that? I said I would not give you a Halo for adopting a family..that was YOUR choice and YOUR desire..I will not give extra points because you adopted foreign "adorable" children when we have children here in this country that need homes. You adopted the family YOU wanted. No Halos,no Sainthood..it is nice you got your family,I am happy for you..but I don't consider it some great Christian act of Mercy..It is simply a family that wanted children and chose the family they wanted.
I hope they are bright and beautiful, and that they give you joy.It was the family you choose
Just a simple woman doing what Jesus would have her to do huh? You really are a Saint..you get the HALO
Come on, people now, smile on your brother.. everybody come together now.. and love one another...un huh...
P.S. RAJ - remember our dear friend Webster's, as in Dan'l.
Do you think I wouldnt think that was great? We have foreign kids with us frequently..I have done a foreign mission and hope to do another..Now I hope that "adorable" is not a pre requeset..all the needy kids may not fit your criteria..how about a kid fron Uganada? We have contacts there..or does it have to be a "socially acceptible" white or asian?
St. RN slammed me for adopting an Asian child. I have never, not once, on this thread even said I was a Christian. The woman is delusional. Furthermore, RN has not adopted any kids. She has "adopted" a Korean girl for the summer. The girl went home. That's not adoption. Not that I care, mind you, but I've been attacked for adopting Asian children.
St. RN is right. I adopted these kids for me. I love them and I wanted them more than anything. I didn't choose them from a catalog. I put in an application for one little boy (did you know they are harder to adopt out than girls?) and our agency called and said they had twins. Now, twin boys are very hard to adopt out from what I've been told. We barely had the money to adopt one, but we spent everything we had to adopt them both. I never laid eyes on them until we had agreed to adopt them, so adorable was hardly a factor. Again, I adopted these kids for me, but it's not like they aren't getting anything out of it. People tell me all the time that my kids are so lucky. I always say that we are the lucky ones because it's the truth. I haven't applied for a medal or a prize. I've already got a prize and they are sleeping in the next room.
RnMomof7, this is the last time I will address you. How dare you question our motives for adopting these wonderful, intelligent, adorable, loving little boys. You are damn right, this is the family we've chosen. We are thrilled with our choices.
As far as feeding these children, I would think that a follower of Christ would be heartened to see a little one's suffering abated, even if in a small measure. The fact that these children appear clean or healthy does not make them any LESS worthy of compassion.
The Lord Christ that I serve and love desires that NO MAN perish. This includes those "evil" Afghan children. I hate to disappoint you but He loves them as much as He loves you.
It would behoove your spirit for you to refresh yourself with Jesus' message of being charitable. America is a country with an abundance. That is no accident or result of "good luck". We have long reaped the blessings of a Loving God. To ignore the suffering of the innocent, at home and abroad, would be a disgrace and an insult to His generosity towards us.
Again, self immolation (check WEBSTER's) reigns. I, too, am bored.
See Jah on another Thread, RAH. Allah be praised. Hope you find a nearby Starbucks. Good luck on your quarterly exams.
Bottom line: Islam bears very little resemblance to the God of the Judaeo Christina tradition.
Some food needs to be dropped on these Christian children on the run from Moslem militants (scroll down) Look at their legs, and see the tree leaves in a pot that is their dinner.
little girl looks suspiciously clean and cute. I really hope the pics are authentic, but I have to suspect it's our own propaganda.

(OTOH, if my wife would allow it, I'd probably try to adopt the little moppet....)

Beautiful children..fake staged pictures..

BTW none of those children look like they are starving..go to Africa and look you will see what real starvation looks like..
and
Hitler was once a sweet looking child too
you wrote:
Geez, for a registered nurse you sure are bitter and hateful toward children. Did you ever stop to think for a moment that it just might be a litte better, a little more Christian, to feed some kids even if they are the enemy?
I still say:
Nope, still can't find the logic there. Nothing I saw her write before you and the others jumped on her seemed to warrant your criticism. Nothing she said indicated that she didn't like, didn't have compassion for kids. She was questioning the authenticity of the story, *and* whether these children even knew who was feeding them (not that that matters) and whether or not they were starving. My kids are probably about that weight. I would wonder why the food isn't getting to those who really need it more. Someone mentioned a baby that could hardly move. Why didn't they use *those* pics? I don't know.
I also questioned your criticism of Rnmomof7:
?? Rnmomof7 was questioning the authenticity of the pictures, not the value of feeding the children. You made some leap in there that didn't seem warranted to me.
To which you replied:
No. Read the whole thread so you don't post stupidly.
Now you insinuate that I am being stupid because I admit that something didn't seem warranted to me? har.
Yes, I do. And grandchildren.
Will they be put in harms way?
Everyday that goes by and evil still exists in the world they are in harms way. What's your point?
Or do you sit in your lofty position feeling Holier than thou beacuse this doesnt really affect you YET?
Now that's real Christian of you.
[Eph 4:29-32] No foul language should come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for needed edification, that it may impart grace to those who hear. And do not grieve the holy Spirit of God, with which you were sealed for the day of redemption. All bitterness, fury, anger, shouting, and reviling must be removed from you, along with all malice. (And) be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
You're blind, Mom. From your own self-centered pontificating you are blind to the light. You quote the Old Testament as if Christ didn't fulfill the Law with a New Covenant of Love. Your erroneous interpretation of the scriptures has lead you away from the call of the Christian; to lead a life in the spirit, that is, a life of virtue.
[Rev 2:4-5] ...you have lost the love you had at first. Realize how far you have fallen. Repent, and do the works you did at first.
Where's the one with the package of broccoli?
