As instructed by the messiah, all prayer/contact is to be through him, not another, to the father. He is our High Priest and comming King. He being of the father and God, has earned the right of rulership and praise. No man born of man and woman can observe all physical and spiritual teachings and instructions of God. Therefore no man can represent the Messiah on earth. We can only strive to be like him as individuals and grow in his instructions with the faith that his sacifice has and will cover our unintentinal trangressions.

Well then I guess the next time I say the Our Father, I should really say, "Jesus, can you tell God this for me?...'Our Father, who art in Heaven...'"
