Israel is preparing to attack Syrian military positions and installations in Lebanon, according to the US ambassador in Beirut. The American ambassador said this attack will come in response to the recent Hizbullah assaults on Israeli outposts in the Mount Dov region along the Israel-Lebanon border, Ynet quoted the Lebanese daily As-Safir as reporting. Washington warned Lebanon not to allow the situation to escalate along its southern border with Israel. President George W. Bush yesterday told Foreign Minister Shimon Peres he defines Hizbullah as a terrorist group of "global reach." IDF Chief of General Staff Maj.-Gen. Shaul Mofaz said yesterday Israel aims to exact "a heavy price" from Hizbullah during clashes, so that retaliation would not be necessary later.

If Syria won't reign in the terrorists within its borders, Israel will have to teach it a lesson.

This is a good thing we know how to gather intelligence about US allies but not enemies.

Seriously. Israel is about to invade Syria. This is big-time, yet it gets a short little note on the JPost website?!?

IN relation to this, I have done a very basic check, and it does appear that Isreal has shut down it's domestic airspace. El-Al has a daily flight between Tel-Aviv and Eilat, which flies every single day. But checking on their site, as well as Expedia, there are now no flights scheduled for the next three days. Yet there are flights for every single day following that, as is the norm.

Sorry, my mistake. Still big news though.

That's why I said WW3 is about to start.

That was my way of agreeing with you. What do you think the immediate response would be from Lebenon/Syria? I heard somewhere that Iran had ordered it's troops out of Lebanon in the past few days. This would be the first time in something like 14 years that they won't be there. Also heard that there is a US carrier group VERY close to the Lebanese coast. Anyone else heard this. Sorry, I ill try to find a source for some of this.

I know you were agreeing with me, if this story is ture, then get ready for war soon. I bet the Arabs shut the oil supply.

Click to the Jerusalem Post at top of page and read the remarks by the Israeli official, then tell me what you think. (I think it's 50/50 but escalating towards WWIII too fast).

It's about time. Now that the Powell department has backtracked on making spectacularly hypocritical demands on Israel, we shall see what we shall see. And maybe this administration will finally come to its senses and stop trying to appease terrorists and terrorist states like Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. F'em.

I think Isreal wants to go into lebaban and cook some Syrians and their pals the Hizbullah .

This very well could be the start of "Jacob's Trouble". Remember that yesterday there was an article posted about Israel warning the US of Egyptian troop build up on its border!

And I swear I have seen something in the last 2 weeks that indicated the Iraqi's were performing 'operations' in western Iraq with their 2 million strong army. I will try to find the article if I can. With Egypt cooking on the left, Iraq on the right, and the Syrians to the North, one can imagine why the Israelies are getting an itchy trigger finger.

Israel is pulling back from PA areas within 48 hours after US pressure, see Ha'aretz.
