Good Heavens! How in the world did I miss this previous thread?! Thanks for enlightening me.
(They misspelled my first name on the news release. It's S A U N D R A (not Sandra).
Ack! Happens all the time. For victory & freedom!!!
Whoops! I thought that you saw that earlier thread. Since you missed it the first time around, check out who we induced - on THAT thread - to become a registered poster here. (Hint: NPR hung up on the PRESIDENT of that organization.)
I'm with the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer.
If you look at our home page, AbortionBreastCancer.com, you will find that
National Public Radio hung up on me when I called in to a talk show in December, 2000
to discuss the abortion-breast cancer research. - (posted by Eileen11)
Welcome aboard, Eileen11!

It was first thought that the increased risk was the same if a pregnancy ended early due to miscarriage. Further studies showed this not to be the case. Most mscarriages are due to low pregnancy hormone levels ergo the breast tissue changes do not take place.
The average risk increase in breast cancer due to abortion is 30%. It is only one risk factor, but women do have a right to be informed.
The breast cancer rate has increased 50% since the sixties (introduction of the pill) and 40% since 1973. All othher types of cancer have been decreasing.
I agree with you that there are far too many lawsuits, that our courts are far too liberal, and that we need serious tort reform in our state and federal courts.
Nevertheless, you seem to be advocating unilateral disarmament. The left has been using the courts to advance the pro-death cause for years. Those who support life need to use every tool available in order to fight the billion dollar abortion industry.
I suppport reforming our courts. But in the meantime, pro-lifers need to take advantage of any opportunity available.
Thank you for 'walkin the talk' on this David vs. Goliath lawsuit.
Why so negative? After seeing this reply and replies on other threads this AM, I'd say you got up on the wrong side of the bed or, haven't even been to bed yet. In either case it appears you just want to argue. I have the feeling if Saundra had started a thread by saying she had NOT filed a lawsuit, you would have chastised her for not doing so. What is it you don't understand about her filing the lawsuit based on principle and not for money?
