Freeper Sues Planned Parenthood
Freeper | October 23, 2001 | Saundra Duffy

October is breast cancer awareness month. Did you know there's a LINK between abortion and breast cancer? The abortion industry doesn't want this information to be known. God forbid if women had all the facts; it would cut into their big fat PROFITS! Three of us California women are suing Planned Parenthood - not for money but for the truth. All we're asking is that Planned Parenthood tell women about this link. Evidence shows that women who have abortions, especially in their younger years, have a greater risk of developing breast cancer later in life. Thirteen out of fifteen U.S. studies show an increased risk of developing breast cancer in women who have had abortions.

Good Heavens! How in the world did I miss this previous thread?! Thanks for enlightening me.
(They misspelled my first name on the news release. It's S A U N D R A (not Sandra).
Ack! Happens all the time. For victory & freedom!!!

Whoops! I thought that you saw that earlier thread. Since you missed it the first time around, check out who we induced - on THAT thread - to become a registered poster here. (Hint: NPR hung up on the PRESIDENT of that organization.)

I'm with the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer.
If you look at our home page, AbortionBreastCancer.com, you will find that
National Public Radio hung up on me when I called in to a talk show in December, 2000
to discuss the abortion-breast cancer research. - (posted by Eileen11)

I researched this topic on the web after first reading about it on FreeRepublic. The Melbye study cited by PP and NCI was flawed, per Dr. Brind. The didn't include abortion statistics for women prior to 1973, and they included breast cancer statistics from 1968. Interestingly, Dr. Melbye corrected this flaw in her next study.

It was first thought that the increased risk was the same if a pregnancy ended early due to miscarriage. Further studies showed this not to be the case. Most mscarriages are due to low pregnancy hormone levels ergo the breast tissue changes do not take place.

The average risk increase in breast cancer due to abortion is 30%. It is only one risk factor, but women do have a right to be informed.

The breast cancer rate has increased 50% since the sixties (introduction of the pill) and 40% since 1973. All othher types of cancer have been decreasing.

Does the abortion/breast cancer research cover RU-486 abortions? Or do those abortions (induced miscarriages via a pill) affect the body more like miscarriages do?

You know I am AMAZED that Planned Murderhood can give medical advise on such an operation and not get sued for such a practice unless they are all doctors.

Hate to piss you off, but as conservatives shouldn't we be against those that file lawsuits at everyone in sight?

I agree with you that there are far too many lawsuits, that our courts are far too liberal, and that we need serious tort reform in our state and federal courts.

Nevertheless, you seem to be advocating unilateral disarmament. The left has been using the courts to advance the pro-death cause for years. Those who support life need to use every tool available in order to fight the billion dollar abortion industry.

I suppport reforming our courts. But in the meantime, pro-lifers need to take advantage of any opportunity available.

Saundra, you are one of the growing list of FReepers I refer too when I talk about freerepublic.com.

Thank you for 'walkin the talk' on this David vs. Goliath lawsuit.

Sorry if it pisses you off, but do we really need another high profile lawsuit?

Why so negative? After seeing this reply and replies on other threads this AM, I'd say you got up on the wrong side of the bed or, haven't even been to bed yet. In either case it appears you just want to argue. I have the feeling if Saundra had started a thread by saying she had NOT filed a lawsuit, you would have chastised her for not doing so. What is it you don't understand about her filing the lawsuit based on principle and not for money?

You're welcome. You know, however, you are probably going to be a very busy gal. Now that your favorite congressman, :), has decided to run again, you will have to juggle the lawsuit with the FReepings in Modesto. Good luck.
