We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation; and this is clearly documented throughout our history.

Interesting. When we founded this country, slaveholding was commonplace as was slaughter of the natives of this country. "Christian principles"? If you say so.

Don't get me wrong. This country has accomplished much that is good. But it wasn't all done by Christians and those "Christian Principles" need some explanation.

I only posted it. I didn't write it, or I didn't Pick it apart, piece by piece. The slaves were "sold", to us. That doesn't make it right, but they were purchased from their own kind..

The natives were also killing us. Is this OK? Then it must be OK for the Muslims to kill us too.The whole point in the post is that our values for which this country was founded is all that is ever discriminated against.

While slavery was wrongly tolerated for some time, it was the Christians that initiated the movement to end slavery. In fact today's slavery battle in the Sudan is being led by Christian pastors in American, namely Dr. Kennedy in Florida. He has been at the forefront for years.
