47 year old male who went to the Southern Maryland Hospital and died 6 hours later did die of Anthrax...preliminary tests now show.
I'll send you a crisp new $20 bill if you can quote *ANY* FBI source *EVER* stating as a fact that any recent anthrax case "is unrelated" to the 9/11 attack.
Speaking of "peddling [spelled right] crap", where do you people keep getting these ridiculous accusations from?
The scary part is that the postal workers were on a week's worth of Cipro, and two of them died anyway. Which leads me to believe that the Daschle letter did indeed contain weapons-grade, antibiotic-resistant strains of anthrax.
Amateur... All I'm bringing is one Israeli.

What problems do you have with Tommy Thompson?
There's a classic scene in the movie "The Untouchables".
The feds raid a bunch of bootleggers (during Prohibition) and a shootout ensues. One of the bootleggers ends up dead on the porch.
When the battle dies down, the cops grab one of the bootleggers and tries to get information out of him. Sean Connery (as a tough Irish cop) starts to rough him up. Squeaky-clean fed Elliot Ness (Kevin Costner) says, "hey, none of that!", and orders him out of the room. They continue to try to get info from the bootlegger, with no success.
Outside, Sean Connery sees the dead guy on the porch, and gets an idea. He lifts the body up and slams it against the window of the room where the interrogation is going on. He yells at the corpse, "talk, talk, dammit! Tell us what we want to know! So... A tough guy, eh? I'll give you to three to start talking -- one! two! three!"
He shoots the corpse in the face, spraying its brains all over the window of the interrogation room. Then he strides back into the room, and the now terrified bootlegger yells, "ok, ok, I'll talk!!"
*WHAT* "coverup"? Or is that just your default presumption for everything?
Please post your evidence that the same people who conducted/masterminded the 9-11
attacks also are conducting these anthrax mail attacks.
You may be sorry you asked.
Let's say that Abdul the Terrorist takes 250 anthraxed envelopes and drops them into the mailbox.
They get picked up and dropped into a large sack. The sack gets emptied onto a table at the post office.
Fred the Postal Worker then picks each one up, and drops it into the sorting machine.
Each envelope has two things in common: 1) they all go down different routes, to different addresses, handled once by each postal worker along the way, and 2) they each are handled by Fred the Postal Worker.
Fred the Postal Worker receives 250 times the exposure of any other person involved in handling the envelopes. (I did not include the carrier who removed them from the mailbox, because he handled them as a unit, rather than shuffling individual envelopes around.)
Obviously this is A) conjecture, and B) rather simplified from whatever actual procedures are involved. I haven't been a postal worker for over 30 years. But I do believe that there are likely a few people in the handling chain who receive a much greater exposure -- by virtue of handling more than one envelope involved in a mass mailing.
The implication, of course, is that if this scenario is correct, there will be a lot of recipients of tainted envelopes.
As Drudge says, developing...
So if I'm in custody for suspected bank robbery you think the
cops should torture me until I confess to all unsolved robberies?
Bystanders running like hell to avoid getting sucked by the air-undertow into the crater formed by the impact when he lands? :)
Hmmm, could be you are brilliant.
Seems to me the sh!t is about to hit the fan. Why? Because the nano-second that Daschle's office got the letter, the entire US Capitol work force got on Cipro. Questions being asked include:"Would it not be logical to trace back immediately the route this letter had taken, which would have resulted in the Brentwood postal workers getting treatment?" and "Isn't this negligence?"
Thank G-d they didn't any longer for the *all-knowing, all-caring* federal government and postal service to act!
Bingo. Why do you think he got the job?
It's time for these guys to quit "following the science" and jump in front of it!. Our national security depends on action, not reaction.
