I'm sure that I encountered him on thousand Oaks Blvd. in Berkeley, CA in 1967 when I asked him to sign a petition against school bussing and he was still in his Commmunist/New Left/AFT mode. He was quite insulting! I can describe the outfit he was wearing down to the last detail, the impression is still so clear.
