Yeah and it's a miracle some of them are still able to walk now, let alone sing! LOL!!
Be sure and catch the end of the Who's performance.....you'll be surprised that a few can even still JUMP! Hahahaha!

Gere get's booed for calling for compassion
To: jjbrouwer
ringo starrs son is the drummer for the who
To: jjbrouwer
I thought Bruce would be there as well -- he played some other benefit shows for the victims these weekend, so he's definitely in town.
It looked like the firefighters and policemen enjoyed the Who more than anything else at the show. Pete Townshend punched out Abbie Hoffman at Woodstock -- too bad he couldn't have done the same to Clinton tonight!
To: jjbrouwer
Was that Zac Starkey (Ringo Starr's son) on the drums for the Who?
To: Dane
Maybe when you get around to reply #1400 of this thread, you will see that Gere's new age pacificism was roundly booed. Haha, right! So many posts...so little time. I should have known.
To: TLBSHOW
He's pretty good - think he is a better drummer than Kenny Jones.
To: NYCVirago
Is there an ETA for Hillary getting booed? Looking forward to that!
To: TLBSHOW
Eeeeeek!
It's the Thread that never Dies!
It must be near Halloween!
To: jjbrouwer
Hillary comes out after the Stones -- it should be, if memory serves me, in another 20-30 minutes or so.
To: jjbrouwer
If I recall correctly, it's not long now. I remember Pataki being on around the same time. He just finished.

Thanks, John, for a great new format, which allows us to have an incredibly long and entertaining thread like this!

I wonder...would Funeral for a Friend and Love Lies Bleeding be appropriate...I halfway think it would As I was driving home from B.C. Johnson's funeral, that song came on the radio. It was totally appropriate.

The Stones sound as good as new.

It's gotta be coming up soon, right? Mick is on his second song.

Macy Gray on now. "What would you do if I sang out of tune?" What would we do if she didn't?
To: Tony in Hawaii
Man, that was righteous!
