Israel enters the rest of West Bank

GAZA CITY, Gaza, Oct 19, 2001 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Israeli troops on Saturday entered the West Bank town of Tulkarem An Qalqilya, which had been under control of the Palestinian Authority. Israeli troops now occupy the towns of Jenin, Ramallah, Bethlehem, Beit Jala and Beit Sahour, and have seized additional positions once controlled by the PA.

Israel has killed many more Palestinians than vice versa. Why? Because a late member of the Cabinet said that Pali's are "cancer", or lice, dehumanizing them so that their deaths are acceptable. Doesn't sound like a country that shares our values. Democracy? Not hardly, when a Cabinet member wants to deport citizens just because he doesn't want their ethnic type around. Doesn't sound like a country I want to expend a dollar or a soldier's life over.

He said that Palestinians living illegaly in Israel proper as opposed to Arab citizens of Israel are lice. What he said is not incosistent with what many Americans feel about our own illegals.

True, but in our democracy, noone who said such a thing would have been allowed into the Cabinet. And they are not illegals; they are living in their own land and are under Israeli occupation, not allowed a vote. And he said that Israeli Arabs should be deported. That country is just not a democracy like ours. Fine, but we should not support such bigotry.

No he was referring specifically to Palestinians who crossed over from the West Bank into Israel, so you can't say that they were just living peacefully on their own land. His comment was prompted by a suicide bombing after which it was learned that the bomber was one of those illegals. Israelis enacted legislation in the 80's prohibiting parties advocating racism from participating in elections. In that sense they are far more PC than the US.

Name for me the Islamic country that has elections that are more free and more fair than Israel's are. Or the "democratic" Islamic country that allows a Jew or a Christian to hold seats in their legislature, as Israel allows Moslems in their Parliament.

He never said that Israeli Arabs should be deported. He said that in his view the only solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a voluntary transfer of Palestinians (not Israeli Arabs) from the West Bank to Jordan.

The UN resolutions you refer to have been violated incessantly by the Arabs and the "palestinians" every time they've had the opportunity. They have no intention of ever living up to their end of the bargain. It's just like the Oslo "peace process." All they're doing is advancing the position from which they'll attack Israel the next time.

So, do I support President Bush in this?

Sure, why not? Every President seems to have to go through the motions on this to show just how feckless and untrustworthiy the Arabs truly are.

BTW, the nation of "Jordan" was created in the 1920s to be the "palestinian homeland," do you support that?

And the same can be said of the mean Americans bombing the snot out of the poor old defenseless Afghans, who must be civilians since they're not dressed like soldiers. There are lots of innocent young men there, too - most of them anxious for the day they get to strap on a backpack full of explosives. September 11th has shown the world the error of your "thinking". That propaganda line is dead. Go find another.

Several reasons...

Peace between peoples that hate each other can't be imposed from without. The moment we left, war would break out again, if not sooner. Israel and the "palestinians" are going to have to go through much bloodshed, I'm afraid, before the "palestinians" tire of jihad.

It is not the role of the United States to be the world's policeman in every little matter. America is the Counterweight for Goodness against the Great Evils of the world, like German Nazism and Soviet Communism.

Communist China and expansionist Pan-Islamic fascism are the Great Evils on the horizon.

We need to shout about this factor every time we're beat up about a civilian casualty. We aim at military targets, and sometimes civilians get hurt. But who were they targeting on Sept. 11th? And now they want to whine to the world about the USA unintentionally inflicting civilian casualties??? That's nuts. While we should avoid civilian casualties, we should reject any criticism coming from cowards who target our women and children, and hide behind their own.

You forgot that we're just supposed to accept that Islam is a religion of tolerance and peace. We're not supposed to actually think about it, just accept it, in spite of the overwhelming evidence contradicting the claim.

I tell you, the arguments coming from the Islam/Pali/Taliban/OBL supporters have all the irrefutable, penetrating logic of those coming from the grade school playground.
