HILLSIDE, N.J. (AP) -- Police on Friday found a truckful of fertilizer that had been reported stolen earlier this week. Hillside police found the trailer parked on the street in an industrial park Friday afternoon, Parsippany Sgt. James Storms said. Police had located the cab from the stolen tractor-trailer in Elizabeth on Thursday.

Well good. One load down.
10/18/1998 A giant iceberg -- bigger than the state of Delaware -- has broken off an Antarctic ice shelf. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said Thursday that the berg, named A-38, broke off the Ronne Ice Shelf and is floating adjacent to the shelf. This iceberg is 92 miles (148 km) long and about 30 miles (48 km) wide with an area of 2,751 square miles (7,125 sq. km). The state of Delaware has an area of 2,044 square miles (5,294 sq. km). This new iceberg was sighted by Mary Keller, a scientist at the National Ice Center in Suitland, Maryland, using data from a satellite.
If you're going for a ride on anything like the Titanic, watch were you're going!!

Anybody that pulls the kind of thefts that might fuel a terror attack is going to be in for a big surprise when they realise every cop in a 200 mile radius is going to be looking for them. Yup. This is a *REALLY* stupid time to do anything that looks nefarious.

I hope they at least gave it the sniff test. ;) BTW, I tried to ping you, but it said you weren't listed or something. Maybe I spelled your name, I was typing at a fast clip.

They found the Rockland Chemical Co. trailer in Parsippany huh? The exact same town that Rockland Chemical has their originating distibution warehouse. The exact same town from which the load would have originated....
Sounds to me like they ditched that trailer long before the word even got out. Terrorist related? I don't think so.
Rockland Chemical- 295 New Rd Parsippany, NJ 07954. (201) 575-1322
Move along, nothing to notice here.

Well good. If they dumped it because of the "heat" then let's not shut the burners off now. Thanks for the ping.

I would think that they sat around and waited awhile to see if anyone came back for it before releasing it to the newspaper. Who knows though, if they start interviewing people, they may just find them.

Amen to that! That truck could have been any where in the nation. I'm so glad it is found!

If that's true, maybe they will be able to locate some of the missing planes up there.

Read the article again. It was found in Hillside.

Ping! Did it work now? LOL It worked now...it was terible typping skils, I think :)
To: r9etb
The reason they ditched it was because the trailer and load were too hot to hold onto.I for one, think that this is a good thing.
To: Aliska
they are terroristsThis may be just a little over the top.

Yes! Great! Now all we have to worry about is anthrax, smallpox, and a nuclear war! Boy, do I feel better! You see, you must be a novice worrier! Those are so easy to worry about. They are probably the least things to worry about percentage wise. I worry about the things that no one has thought of yet, and I can't say what they are, because then I would be giving them ideas. But then I worry that if I can think these things up, why can't they. And then, I worry that they are truly evil, so they probably even can think of more horrific things, and then...
You see, it just goes on and on and on. The thing about worrying is that it doesn't do you any good. What happens, happens. BUT, finding out you have one less thing to even consider about worrying about today, that's a good thing.

I for one, think that this is a good thing. You must be telepathic. I posted number 38, looked up and saw your post! LOL GMTA

Actually the article says it was found in Elizabeth. My mistake.
Looking at the map, I can't tell how far Parsippany is from Elizabeth but it looks like at least an hour's drive.
The trailer was missing for several days. How soon did an alert go up? It may be terrorist or it may be a robbery. In NJ, certainly either are plausible. But, these days everything is suspected to be terrorist whether it is or not.
