Dudes, since Pope Adrian authorized a British invasion of Ireland in the twelfth century, for the purposes of exterminating the independent, Celtic Christian congregations that were in apposition to (and antagonistic to) Rome, don't you think the Irish-British beef has an origin fomented outside the Isles?

Well you are right that there was a pope in the 12th century by the name of Adrian...He was English and he had been led to believe by Henry II that the state of Ireland was deplorable and made it appear that his sole motive was for the good of the Irish eventhough the possession of Ireland had always been coveted at an early period by the Norman rulers of Great Britain. It had nothing to do with Rome or "for the good of the Church" as you would have us believe. Semper Fi, Mike
