This article illustrates that NOW is the time to stress to our legislators that our gun laws have the effect of creating thousands and thousands of targets for terror (e.g., gun free school zones, limited right to carry, etc.) while insuring that in any confrontation that might occur between terrorists and citizens, the citizens will most likely be inappropriately armed (bans on large cap magazines, "assault weapon" bans, no licenses for automatic weapons after 1986, etc.).
This is the time to do something that might be effective by writing your legislators, the head of Homeland Security and the President. Dick Cheney just said yesterday that this is going to be one war where we lose more people here than soldiers overseas. No doubt he was thinking of germ/chemical warfare. However, as the attractive targets for those are brought under increased security, the terrorists will turn to old fashioned methods as they have in Israel. That's why we need to be ready.
"Dick Cheney just said yesterday that this is going to be one war where we lose more people here than soldiers overseas. No doubt he was thinking of germ/chemical warfare." No, he was just doing simple math. Unless more than five thousand body bags come back, we've already lost more people here than soldiers overseas.
