Kansas Woman Reports Bird Droppings on Car to Police Haz-Mat as 'Anthrax Dropped from an Airplane'

The anthrax scare has some Douglas County (Kansas) resdients so scared that bird droppings have been reported as 'suspicious.'

Emergency personnel Tuesday night called a hazardous materials team to a rural Doulgas County residence, where a woman feared anthrax had been dropped on her car by an airplane.

The substance turned out to be harmless bird droppings sherrif Rick Trapp said.

reminds of the joke, this guy goes to a payphone, drops a quarter on himself to the anonymous cop tip line. gives them the exact coordinates of some yard where he saw "a suspicious character' burying "a large quantity of drugs and weapons" in the yard. Every cop in the world comes out, fbi, dea, batf, staties, counties, local, and other assorted public servants, armed with shovels and metal detectors.They dig and dig many feet deep all over the yard, finally get disgusted when they find nothing, and go back to the copshop. A few days later this dudes neighbor comes over, winks at him, says "shore wuz neighborly all them cops come over to dig up your new garden for ya"

At least the Nashville lady didn't call the Local Hazard Materials team to document her 'discovery.' I am disappointed that she didn't call CNN so we could have 24 hour reporting on the "Terror in Kansas!"

I was just at the sheriffs office and listened to two deputies discussing the idiot who called them to his home saying that anthrax had just been sent to him via the fax machine. The guy is convinced that it's possible.

This reminds me of what happened when some guy was going to steal gas out of an RV in Ottawa, Kans. and stuck his siphon hose in the wrong tank. Seems he barfed all over the place for some reason. By the way, we use to call a siphon hose and Oklahoma credit card. Hope you Okie's don't mind.

I think I am heading up to Larrytown for the MU game. I was there during the Gulf War and there were some protests, but most of the time they were mocked by the other students. I have not heard a whole lot out of that campus, which probably points out the feelings in other colleges: students understand what is at stake, yet faculty remains protesting because they are such anti-American leftists.

Same thing happened in Trappe, Md. My relatives there said some western shore pogues were unaware of the volume a flock of buzzards can produce and called Hazmat.
