I went to junior and senior high with Jay Jahnke and take his "murder" very seriously. I will have to re-think my pref's for the election coming up, 'cause I don't want any of a$$hole$ from city hall killing more people. I think that Lee. P. Brown and all the other a$$hole$ that supported him should have a wrongful death suit brought against them. Mrs. Jahnke and the widows of all the other Houston firefighters are being insulted with "outa-town" Brown's $16 million miracle he announced yesterday to put the proper number firefighters on each truck.

People outside TX don't realize how liberal the City of Houston has become. It is now #4 nationally, behind Chicago but ahead of Philadelphia. Now Harris County is still operationally conservative, and that offsets the 1.95 million Houstonians, the majority of whom are minority, poor, and liberal. Lee Brown is a hero to the downtrodden. It's something I can't understand because I don't understand human nature. Maybe the 17th century Swede named Oxenstjerna had it right when he said: "My son, as you grow older, you will be astonished to discover what imbeciles run the world!"
